I have some I would like to sell in order to buy another double barrel project, but my wife and sister-in-law are new shooters, pursuing their CCW’s, and the need to practice. So ...... they will need some to shoot. I would also give some to a friend if they needed it.

The ridiculous prices have had me eyeballing my stash. I sold a couple shotguns at panic pricing, cause I figure I can always pick a couple more up in 6 months or so if I want when the market stabilizes. Ammo, not so sure about.....who am I kidding, just bought a case of 44 S&W special this morning after looking over my basement and realizing I was not holding enough:)

I’ll find out this weekend how much people are willing to pay. :D

Last weekend all that sold was:
1000 CCI SPPs - $100
Two 1100 round buckets of Fed 22LR - $190 total

primers sold for asking price, and the buckets were marked $100/ea

I specifically will sell ammo I don't need or won't shoot to fund other ammo I do need and will shoot, or to buy a gun-related thing someone is offering me at a great price of their own free will. I don't do it to take advantage of the market, I do it to improve the quality and usefulness of gear I have. The only ammo I've sold, I've sold at prices that I vetted by trustworthy dealers first so as not to rip anyone off, and still ended up selling for less than asking price.

I see a lot of ammo for sale recently. With all thats going on politically, and Covid wise, the prices are high.

If you had extra would you sell?

(Pick up to 3 choices)
Will not sell , would give to my kids. I scrounged and saved to get mine. If you didn't prep, don't expect me to help.

The peaceful plan is to sell most of my horde in 5 years when I move on the boat full time. The "get off my lawn" plan is NO I will most likely need it. With the state of things today I'm a bit worried that we are headed to the latter.

I think that having bought a second safe, just for my stash, solidifies my “no”.

I gave a lady about 200 rounds of mixed 22 and 9mm last Sunday on the range to Shoot. She also got to shoot a half dozen or so other guns for familiarization. I will gleefully give whatever I can to help somebody be a better shooter But as a general rule I don't sell ammo.
When ammo was not So tight, many CFFrs left ammo here for folks to shoot. Their generosity was always used as they wanted, not shot by or sold by Me.

Sold enough in Salisbury on Sat to fund my lever gun and an optic. Can’t wait to find one in stock.

Spoke to a brass supplier today. He said that after speaking to many others, the consensus in the industry that it will be at least a year before stuff returns to any kind of normalcy. He's just now getting July orders out and has a backlog of 300 outstanding orders. Like others, he's had to de-list some selections so he can focus on the high demand products, namely 9mm.

Soooooooooo, yesterday one of our Alumni/Neighbor/Pards, came over and asked if I would sell some .22. I told him I would Give him a brick if he needed some. He said he wanted 5 bricks. I sold him 5 bricks of Remington Goldens. I sold it to him for what it is selling for at the shows and all were happy. Honestly, this has me thinking I should sell 100 more. ....but I'm greedy.

I have loaned 1040 rounds of 223, 1k of Federal aluminum 115 grain, and 1k of Monarch 115 grain 9mm and 1400 round bucket of Remington Golden bullets.

I had a table at a (small start up) gunshow last weekend.
I went to sell my years of accumulated stuff... Holsters, nylon molle gear, misc reloading equipment, grips and a set of plates. Also took ~20 handguns that just didn't have a place in my heart.
To make sure that I made my table rent money back, I took a case of 9mm.
I intended to mark the 9mm at $22/box...
The guy next to me SOLD OUT at $40/box before I was even finished unpacking my "stuff"
I was AMAZED at what ammo & 9mm handguns were selling for.
I sold 3 used 9mm pistols for more then I paid new.
It's Looney Tunes!
BTW, on the 2nd day I took another 1.5 cases 9mm, some .40s&w, .308 & 12gauge.
Every round sold!
I'm done selling. I will still loan/give to friends in need.

I put some up for sale with the firearms I put on consignment at my local FFL. Makes them more appealing when you get a couple cases - or more if it's the only gun chambered in that caliber - of ammo especially these days.

Did that recently with a 336w and a savage a17 I put in consignment.
