I measured Bailey Boat's range yesterday, it's exactly 50 yards!
Is not, is not!! I used an old laser range finder that's been dropped a million times so I guess it's off. Good excuse to go buy another one!!

@chiefjason my Savage still outperforms my CZ Tacticool. I know that's blasphemy in the precision rimfire world but the groups don't lie! YoDave be dammned the CZ trigger doesn't hold a candle to my FV-SR trigger out of the box.
If I get to try it again, I'm turning my target sideways!! Seemed to stray horizontally more than vertically. Maybe a couple each way and see how it goes.
Nothing to write home about and not threatening to make the leader board but I still wanted to get my submission in.

No this was at Holly Shelter in Rocky PointAre you shooting at that new range in Shelby? Looks like their bench's. If so how did you like it?
Okay, finally got off my butt and shot a target. Far from ideal conditions with gusty winds dead right to left. Felt hurried knowing I have a conference call at 4:00 but managed to pull off a decent score, a little low on X's but it is what it is.... Rushed and neglected to take a photo of the gear, Anschutz 1451, 18X Bushnell (old, quality scope) and Fed 714 SV.

You are correct. It's actually a 94/1x.Just looking at your target again. I think you scored it wrong. i.e. your first two targets top row are in the nine column. I may be wrong but I believe the points are gained with in the rectangle boxes. Even if with in the outer ring it can be scored as a 9 or a 10 depending on what box you are in. Others please chime in here. Still nice shooting

Then why even have the circle. Please refer to bullseye scoring rules and holler back....
Just had a chance to look at the target more closely. By you guys scoring theory a shot could be an inch high or low and still score a 10?? Kind of takes the "precision" out of it doesn't it??
Maybe we need to adopt another target format going forward....
It is not strictly a Bullseye competition. That's the point of this target. On this target you try to shoot the X and not the center bull like you do on a USBR target. The per precision is still there because you need to shoot the X. It is what makes these targets fun because it changes things up a little.
Target Guidelines: You will fire 1 shot per bullseye at each of the 10 bullseyes per page. The maximum score per page is 100 points and 10X’s. Included among the 10 bullseyes are 2 “Sighter Targets” to the left of the page. They are included to help you sight your rifle. Use them if you’d like to ensure your optics are sighted correctly. ( @Bailey Boat "This is the premise under which I scored the target.....)
This challenge will use "Best Edge” scoring. Meaning, if you simply hit the line of the next higher score, you will receive the higher score.
Bailey, per your interpretation you didn't notice other shooters were underscoring their targets?
As an aside, I didn't see any mention of mulligans in the rules. Is there a limit on these? Being one of those who believes golf to be "a good walk ruined" I'm not very well versed on how they work.
Agreed. The scoring was very definitive. Each section is marked with a value.I think it's pretty clear. Scored just like circular target rings. Highest "ring" you are touching or in is the score for the shot. Touching center dot is an X. The heavy ring is just for aiming purposes and means nothing for scoring.
The point of the target is to allow some vertical slack for ammo with less consistent velocity.
No...you didn't. There are clearly marked scoring values on the target and you didn't use them. This is the premise under which I scored the target.....

Your "1 inch high or low and get a 10" comment is the whole reason I said I was turning the whole sheet of paper sideways if I shot it again. Most of mine went left or right instead of high or low.
"it didn't work out in my favor, so it's stupid..."
It's a game. It's July. What's next?
I like the tack driver targets
