TV news crew’s truck stolen while reporting on Downtown Albuquerque crime

What the heck is going on in Albuquerque??
The link went to a local paper and it's littered with crime stories. Man gets dragged to death under car. Woman steals and wrecks police vehicle. U-Haul's a d towed vehicles being stolen from travelers out of hotel parking lots. Even the original story started as a complaint about crime. They seem to be having a problem.

Having moved here 25 years ago from Albuquerque, I can tell you that it's a crime infested, gang infested very tough town. It was tough when I was there and it's worse now. I would not even consider moving back there, though I've visited the area numerous times since.

Many/most homes had security bars over the doors/windows and the violent crime rate has always been one of the highest in the nation. It's also one of the poorest states in income.

That having been said , the rural (and particularly the rural north) is breathtakingly beautiful and empty.

Be prepared to defend yourself though.

"but I’m very angry that somebody can walk up to a parked, locked, vehicle in front of you in this city and drive it away,” she said. “It’s a helpless feeling to know you cant do anything about it.”

But but...we were victims!
Give it a rest. You people constantly play and push the victim agenda. You gleefully stick a microphone in peoples faces in their most difficult times with the only intent to make their tragedy sell more ad space.
For years we have been pointing out the perverted systems propensity to harbor the criminals while we were told, by threat of force, to stand down. You called us paranoid, insensitive, non-college educated, country, white-lash.
Now you're on the same side of the fence all-of-a-sudden, and that's what really upsets you isn't it? Reality bitch-slapped you into realizing that all along, you were wrong, and we were right.

Eat it.

That is exactly what needs to be printed on the front page of the news.

Simple - in walking distance of the Rio Grande. Hell, they walked there from Guatemala or some God-forsaken place

Well, they don't call it New Mexico for nothing.
Exactly.

Mexican/Central American violence in America is very high, but the MSM downplays it even more than they downplay black violence because Mexicans and Central Americans are the key demographic for more political power for the left (you can import large numbers of them legally and illegally, and they have more children than blacks).

I would pay good money to watch a competing news org put them through the same paces they do to everyone they harass.

Why has America allowed this to happen?

Clean the cities up, reclaim, deport and stop funding the certain segments of society causing these situations.

I used to play poker with a guy, who was very vocal about how poor these people were. He gave me hell about my attitude. I told him he currently had the luxury of such attitudes, because he was so far removed from effects and consequences.

Oh he said I was hopelessly conditioned by my upbringing, and otherwise because of my grasp of poker, was surprised I wasn't much more open minded.

I am sorry, but I can't help grinning as folks who thought themselves perpetually insulated, become victims. Love it.

Ahhhh, good old KOB-TV. 1st and Central--- yup Route 66. I stayed out of that area as much as possible. The whole place is a gang playground.
