I won this 995 last year NIB at a local high school booster club auction. These suckers sure do work. Never had a problem with it of any kind.

I've read on this forum that some folks have problems with the Red Ball magazines. I bought a couple thru Natchez and no problems of any kind thus far. Today I shot (50) 115 grain FMJ from Slovakia, (50) 124 grain Speer Lawman, and (20) 124 Remington Golden Sabre JHP.

Glad its working for you. My FIL left a HiPoint .45 pistol in my carry for a year. Gun always shot everything I put thru it with the original mag. Second mag was more finicky however.

My buddy bought 2 of the Red Ball magazines and they won't run in his 995 nor mine. The factory magazines work great. I have a cheap red dot on mine and it's a hoot.

I thought about putting a red dot on mine. I've got one on a Ruger 10/22 I've thought about switching over.

I'd like to shoot one someday, just to see.

I hear you bennnn! Thanks for the compliment.

I just take the photos with a IPhone 7 these days. Works great.

I bought one of these used in 45. Liked how reliable it was, but didn't like the check slap I was getting. Sold it, rather than trying to figure out if I could get used to it, add a padded cheek piece and/or muzzle brake (doubtful). Would consider a 9mm one if I could get it as cheap as I did the 45. Also, I'm on the list to be notified when the bullpup chassis for these hits the market.

WHY THE FK don't they just redesign the plastic even a LITTLE BIT. The ONLY thing keeping me from buying one of these is the UGLY. It's so FKING HIDEOUS. I can't do it. I can't love a firearm this gosh darn UGLY. I haven't found any aftermarket COS PLAY make overs either. WHAT A GOLD MINE a cheap plastic makeover set would be. If an aftermarket mod were available under a hundred bucks, people would be going apeshit over this gun.

Hi Point did do a major redesign several years ago. This is the Gen 2 model in the OP's photo.

I put my Gen 1 in an ATI stock years ago.....looks and handles much better.

These bullpup stocks for the Hi Point will be coming out soon. Almost makes it look respectable.

I'm on the list to be notified when these are available. Just traded into a 9mm Gen 2 Saturday at the Hickory Show. I'm hoping to get out to shoot it soon. I had the 45, but was getting a lot of cheek slap, so I let it go. Hopefully, the 9mm won't do the same. If so, I may, may buy a cheek pad. But with a gun like this if it ain't fun to shoot, it won't be a keeper....

HAHAHA, we must be related. I couldn't believe when they redseigned it a few years back and made it ALMOST as ugly as it was before. I've had two of them and put ATI stocks on both of them. I won't own a gun that causes me to cringe every time I'm unlucky enough to have my eyes fall upon it. The other thing is the 10rd mag limit. Really I don't see how they can get more than $200 for them.

Bought the 4595 a couple years ago. Put a red dot on it just for fun. It shoots anything I put in it. Haven't tried after market mags yet. It is fun to shoot and everyone at the range wants to try it when I bring it.
