I ordered this the last week, and it showed up yesterday. I was able to pick it up today.

Plans are a 20" 308, but for everything else I don't know. Thinking a standard A2 stock to keep it a bit retro-ish. Good trigger, good parts for safety, and I want to do a bomber jacket style sling.

What would you do?

I should add that it is going to be a Precision ish build, and also a hunting rifle. I know on the hunting side I will have to sacrifice a lightweight rifle for a heavier barrel and optics, which is fine. I'm not going to build a 20+ lb rifle though.
 
18 or 20" 6.8 with Odin Works Zulu 2.0 and a 2-10 or 4-14

If you could find a stock that has the hand hook underneath and paint it silver like the rest. Then paint the hook like the belly radiator scoop and on the stock sides add the white/blue star on either side and invasion stripes. You could get real fancy and checkerboard the end of the barrel forward of the gas block in red/yellow.

Edit... think a stock like a US Tactical systems backup twenty stock might work.

I like the idea of the stock and scoop, and work some invasion stripes behind it, like the body attached. That would be awesome! Great idea!

I'm thinking about just leaving the barrel black, or I can do that effect on the can.

I got it from brownells. I might get one of Aero’s complete uppers for simplicity.
 
Got the lower assembled today. It has a sling loop on the bottom, but I don't know if I like it or not.

It wouldn't be a lower assembly if I didn't launch a spring, and usually it's the front takedown, but this was the safety detent. Found it 5 feet behind me.

Down to barrel, bolt, gas block, tube, scope and mount.

I had a safety spring sneak out and get bound up as I was screwing in a stock once.
I snipped off the damaged part and theres a half inch of wooden matchstick holding it it now lol.
No issues in two years :D
