Tent Camping in a Vortex

What kind of cheap tents did they get that didnt come with stakes/anchors?
I ask because, obviously, it wasnt the user's fault for not using them, right? lol

Was a cool looking scene, thanks for posting the video

I was life guarding in Myrtle and a water spout came on land, ripped up my line of umbrellas, didn't impale anyone thank goodness and then went up and spun a construction crane around.

I've seen staked tents do that. Not small ones. The Big A frame boy scout Timberline's by Eureka. Seen them blown flat with broken poles too. We headed up to Shining Rock as a nasty storm front was coming through. We thought it had passed so we hiked out to an open camping area. Then we got absolutely hammered about 10 pm and half the tents were unusable when it was all over. The only ones that made it out unscathed are my bosses dome tent and my tarp. I spent the next 2 weeks ordering parts and fixing tents.
