Secrets of the SAS: In their own words

Thx for the heads up. Will definitely watch. My guess is 1 secret is they did not carry those Bullpup Enfields.

In the "dramatic reenactments" they were carrying ARs; but episode 1 only looked at 1 mission in 2000.

It did remind me how much I loved the old school DPM cammo.

Finished it. I did not like the last episode, based on Bravo 2-0. There have been so many issues with that story it's hard to know what the truth is.

The third episode is very sobering.

I watched them, not bad. I've worked with them a lot and this definitely captures the attitude well, except for the one guy who looks like a runway model.

I have been around a few, never worked directly with them. I did an exchange with the Royal Marines, and it was one of the most awesome experiences I ever had.

I learned that going on the piss with Royal Marines is like going on the piss with a rugby team but turned up to 11. Fun, especially when some muppet decides to pick a fight!

I've worked with the Green Berries, mostly special boat; good folks ! SBS are the best swimmers I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot !!!
The special boat and special air both have the "party concept" down strong !! Yes, it is a lot like our USMC in that regard. They're very good to hang out with, but if you want to roll, they'll roll with you...
I even dated a girl from Manchester that her brother with the Regiment set us up after DS1.

Ah, the SBS. Like the SAS but with less publicity. They are a great bunch, too. Those guys I have worked with. But the best, most fun, most hard drinking and fighting, and most homoerotic people I have had the pleasure of working with was the RMC. I loved my exchange with them. Utterly loyal, and fearless, like our Marines.
