Did You Go Shooting Today

Shot Saturday at PHA...
What part of PHA is that? Laying out in front of the 200yd benches? I haven't spent much time at either of the rifle ranges to remember what they look like.

Looks like the 200 yd range to me.

Frontline Defense today, checked the zero on my rifle for the advanced carbine class Saturday morning,
tried my new Gemtech-45 on my M&P with 9mm SilencerCo threaded barrel.:)
Saturday about 350 rounds for the class, little rain no problem.

Wife and I went to TSA this morning since we missed our normal date night Thursday. Shot some 22, 9, and 45. Found out I have a big box of Aguila “Super Extra” that isn’t. Not enough to cycle the Ruger SR22, won’t even eject a spent shell, and it shoots about everything.

I had trouble with that super extra too. :(

Remounted another 3x scope to my 10.3" and zeroed it at 25m.
Zeroed with M855A1 EPR ammo in center (#5). Barrel is a FN SOCOM 10.3" 1:7 twist.
On left (#3) 5 rds of Winchester Ranger 60gr Nosler Partitions
Left (#4) 5 rds of Mk318 Mod 0 62 gr OTM
Right (#4) 5rds of M262 Mod 1 77gr OTM
Right (#3) 5rds of M855A1 62gr EPR

Last night I packed some 9 mm, 44 mag and 204 Rugers thinking that I would be shooting the 629, AR-9 and CZ. When I was packing the guns I decided I did not want to go to 3 different ranges so instead of of 629 I grabbed the Rossi 92. The Rossi shot great and went to the AR9 which I just worked on the trigger. That was great but had a problem with the magazines feeding. I had to put forwrd pressure to keep the gun running.
Then headed to the 500 yard range to shoot the 204. It was blowing about 10 to 15 from 11:00 and I thought it was going to play havack on the 32 and40 gr bullets. Once I figured out where to hold in the wind it was hitting steel on a regularly. At 500 it was shooting below 1 MOA. I love that gun.

The CZ is the 204 right? Glad you are happy with it. Didn't want to have to buy it from you out of guilt for telling you to get it.

Ran into this little sucker on the backstop today. Wish I would have put something up to show scale but it was the size of my hand.

A couple rounds of the Wizard Drill for me and a few mag dumps for my son out of the ol' P89. I think he is giving up on the P30SK.

Why giving up on the SK? I've been considering one.

Took the Mars Armament THUG Colt 1911 out yesterday.

I don’t have Suppressor height sights but I didn’t do too bad from 10 yards.

I reorganized my range UTV, too.

He just doesn't shoot it very well. He said he would rather carry the P89.
Is it the DA trigger that gives him problems?

Nah, most of his problem is he just doesn't shoot enough and when he does he compares his results to mine. I forget what version his is, DA/SA, no safety, no de-cock?

Send him over to shoot with me. Suddenly he'll love the gun.

I shot a few mags through a pieced together Glock 19 and I got to shoot some rounds through a sweet Browning P35 that @garvin had acquired.

CZ you are correct about the 204. I put it on the Lyman digital trigger scale. Without the reset it was breaking around 3.5#. After the reset it was arounf.5#s. Very easy to send a round down range if you are not careful.

Had the opportunity to introduce a "lil young lady (maybe 90lbs) to guns. Started her off with a suppressed Ruger MKIII Hunter. She had a first round hit at 40 yards. After a few mags I let her try the 40S&W G23, she held on, was grinning ear to ear and said she liked it more than the 22.
We have another one hooked.
My son it a 12" plate with the 22 pistol, standing at 175 yards. I didn't

Still "no" for me...but someone was shooting up a storm at the Wagram range this afternoon!!
Maybe soon I'll be shooting there.

Got out and gently broke in two virgins today. :D

Put about 10 rounds through the Mossberg 464 Brush gun to see how it shoots and function test it. Shot about a 2" group at 50 yards off a crappy bag just to see it shoot. Didn't have a small enough screw driver to adjust the Willaims Fire Sights so I'll dial it in at 100 next time.

Then shot the CZ 527 Varmint in 6.5G. Shot some cheap Wolf, Federal and Hornady Black. Shot decent with everything, but when I took it off the cheap bag and used the bipod I shot a last group of around 1" at 100 with the Hornady. Not bad for it's first time out. I think when it gets a little more broken in this gun could be a lot of fun. For the first 40 rounds I was very happy. Also happy my old 7.62x39 mags do work in it as well.

Got out again today. Messed around with the Mossberg 464 again, and I really dislike the Williams sights. When I loosen the screw a little to adjust them they are so loose that fine adjustments are about impossible for windage. I went from being a few inches left to about 6 inches right. Either going to get some peeps or throw a scope on it.

Shot the CZ 6.5 Grendel varmint as well. Played around with body positioing and different bags. I'm not well versed in this rifle stuff. A couple guys at the range helped me out a little too. Played around with some different ammo too. I think this rifle might just be a shooter. :D

Dang! What distance was that group shot from? I couldn't do that if I was touching the target with the muzzle.

That was at 100 yards. I shot a handful of worse groups before that. I was messing around with different rear bags and my body position at the bench. I finally got comfortable and got dialed in pretty well. That was with Hornady Black 123g ammo. Harris bipod and just a little rear bag.

Put a couple of hundred rounds through my Fusion Reaction 1911, and tried to get my Dan Wesson Valor to behave. I think I'm going to bump the recoil spring from 10lbs to 11.
