I found some familial military pics:

My grandfather, US Army, circa WWI:

My dad, USMC, 1953-95:

My old man, again:

My uncle, USA AC, then 101st Abn, WWII:

Me, in the field, somewhere:

Me, after a promotion once I drank the kool aid and got commissioned:

Me and the Gunny after officer school:

A party which I barely recall, O-club, NAS Pensacola. The Chief and Gunny did good cop/bad cop, and would switch roles to throw us off:

Here's a couple from a roll of film I found in my dad's effects after he passed. He was stationed in Germany in the early 1960's, this film wasn't developed until 2015:

I don't have many pics from my time in. I'll hafta bust out my old photo albums & scan some in.

This was just prior to graduating the 91G Behavioral Science Specialist course in early '91. I'm the dork in the center still sporting my Infantry blue cord (I was re-classing out of 11C)-

September '07, some dog & pony show/goat rope/CF in the bush just outside N'Djamena, Republic of Tchad & not particularly pleased to be there.

So they taught you how to point like a state trooper?

I don't even remember why we were doing that. I'm sure we thought it'd be cool or funny at the time, but I have no earthly idea why.

Never did the 'knife hands' thing at someone in the entirety of my career. Never felt the need to point at someone to get my point across. I was always the quiet, laid back NCO who got stuff done with zero BS or drama. That said, I was the dog robber/special projects NCO for a few First Sergeants & COs, so I tended to approach things a little differently than most.

Here’s one of my crew when I was attached to LAV’s. Taken with a disposable camera that got wet going back to the ship. Every picture was ruined except this one and it made it look like a Vietnam era photo.

Can’t remember what country we were in when it was taken but I think this was Albania.

My boy Carlos is the one in the middle. He’s the one that couldn’t pronounce my full name so he called me Ch..damn (emphasis on the damn) and it stuck.

I’m the one on the far left. The guy right next to me we nicknamed Cecil because he reminded us of the buzzard in an old bugs bunny cartoon.
