What have you recently purchased that is firearms related?

20190117_150343.jpg I've picked up these 3 in the last 2 weeks... the way I'm telling it is a little different though.
My story is that I've met 3 guys from an internet forum in the last week...1 pulled out a big scary gun and took my money and the other 2 pulled out parts for scary guns and took my money.:Dfec68bc8660a022ed99fc42d08363b39.jpg moe_lpk_blk_1.jpg

Most recently, a Gen 5 Glock 19 plus some fodder for practice and some for the real world.

This will be pedestrian for many here, but it represents a significant change in carry habit for this old timer.

I bought some targets, some ammo (.380 and 9mm), and 2 hours of training. Very productive day.

You have been getting good consistent training. Good for you. You are so much more prepared now than you thought you'd ever be huh? I am sure I speak for the entire CFF community when I say I am proud of your commitment to getting better. You are kicking some ass. Well done.

Insert clap emoji here please!

Thanks! I like the training, and it will continue to just get better each time, as I learn more about guns, and more about my carry gun. And I've finally gotten comfortable enough to carry it with one in the chamber, so I'm even more prepared! Lol.

Got a new machine gun today. A 1960 dated Czech vz58. No mags at the moment but have 4 and a leather pouch coming from the Czech Paratroopers here. Doing a detail field strip and dropping all metal into the dry solvent tank outside. Course its snowing outside right now too.

Beautiful dog. Is it a Kuvasz? I had a Samoyed growing up and my parents were looking for a Kuvasz at the time we got her. My mom still talks about getting one.

The second rifle I ever shot was a model 88 in .308. Wish my Dad hadn’t sold that rifle when we moved.

I have been lusting after a 9mm 1911 for quite a while but, for whatever reason, I never bought one. Until this morning. After fondling several Springfield EMP 4s at the gun show yesterday, I bought one this morning. Also picked up a MRO with a qd absolute cowitness mount at the show

Bought some foam to try to provide a softer place for my AR57 pistol to lay in the truck.

Bought another cheapo red dot late Saturday. It showed up Sunday and after being out of the box for ~20 minutes, I processed a return through Amazon and boxed it back up. :D

What was wrong with the red dot? I saw one on Amazon this morning for $24 and change. It looked like the one that came with the M&P 15/22 package.

I see a double reticle. I don’t know if that’s because it’s cheap, or my eyes. I don’t go to the eye doctor, but I do get them checked every 2 years for my CDL. The last time they were tested I was 20/15 in each eye and 20/12 with both open. But I guess there could be an astigmatism issue?

I opted to keep the first one I bought (which I also see double in) because I like the controls much better.

2 targets and 2 boxes of .380 rounds at the range today.

Are you required to buy their targets at the range?
I'm not required to buy any of their stuff. (Except the lessons.) I'm just used to certain ones Tony and I use in training a lot. I do have some cool ones printed out for when I can shoot better, though!

They do have an enormous selection of different kinds, though, with the man-shaped ones being my favorite ones to blast away at! Lol.

Why? Do you have something interesting for me to check out, target-wise?
