The Punisher Season 2

The Pilgrim reminds me of Kai Proctor from the Banshee series
He played a European asassain/sniper bad guy in the latest season of Shooter as well. Hard to believe he's from West Va.

Rick will always be this cuck to me.....

While I don't see there being a Cinderella/Frank Castle cross over (though, that would be pretty awesome on a geek level if they started weaving in real Disney princesses a la "Once Upon a Time") I think the money Punisher brings in and its relatively "controlled" marketing of Netflix will keep it around.
I would think so, but who knows what the idiots at Disney might do. Punisher, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones are my Marvel favorites on Netflix, hope they all transition to whatever the Disney platform becomes.

Disney isn't going to PG-13 the whole lineup, there's too much money to be made on Deadpool III.

Does Disney currently have any R-rated projects? Either in the works or already done?

I just read that too. I am very sad about being wrong in this case, I’ll admit.

It’s official: Netflix is run by idiots.

Seriously...some of the absolute shite shows I see on there—the stupid British home shows, the English over-dubbed Chinese food shows—but yet the show with nearly zero bad reviews gets canned?!?!

Mo-Rons.

I don’t know...
Maybe if they had just stuck with the basics-
Pissed off burned out marine badass kills bad guys, instead of all the whining and healing the show could have gone on...

The very end of Season 2 looks exactly like that was what was in store. Walks into warehouse filled with bad guys..."Ill dance with ya" and starts raining brass.

Yeah
The very last scene, in a now canceled show...
Should have been episode 3 of season 1 at the latest....
We don’t need these season long origin stories,
Just get to the point...

Sounds like a play by Disney. From the sound of that article they're setting up for their service. I was hoping that would go differently... Greedy bastards are going to ruin my Netflix...

Different strokes I reckon. I didn't mind the story line. As I mentioned, I thought the main villain was weaksauce. If you really think about it, every episode has some major action sequences. But weak scar pretty boy whining the whole time just caused it to drag. What shows like this need is a REALLY strong bad guy in the shadows that pops up every now and then for a major fight and then slinks off into the shadows, always a threat, bot not always threatening. Like Kingpin, Green Goblin, or even the Empire in Star Wars, or Sauron in Lord of the Rings. Punisher suffered from an awesome story line against an anemic bad guy who was neither likable, threatening, or endearing in some way. The double tap that took him out was the most he ever offered the series.

Dollars to doughnuts this was Disney's call. There's no way in hell they could stomach The Punisher. Guess Frank Castle will have his place on the shelf next to Uncle Remus singing Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah.

So tired of all the marvel shows getting the axe...

Disney is bringing all its toys back to its toy box.

Netflix has a no compete or etc with the marvel shows so if Disney wants to keep the story/current actors in place it will be 2021 or something until they can put out new content.

But it’s possible.

Disney could easily run it under the FX/Fox name just like they will do with the Deadpool content.

With all the content Disney owns and the talk of a bundle option possibly being available (Disney+,ESPN+,HULU) that could really challenge Netflix.

***edit**
The punisher was not included in the original non compete 2year deal. So “technically” it could go to hulu or a FX based platform without a 2 year wait.

I heard of a "Disney" streaming service that might come out to compete with Netflix.
Dunno how true it is but I could see it happening...follow the money....

Disney+ is coming out late this year. More details and hopefully launch date and prices in April after the investors meeting or whatever it’s called.

It is. When it goes live, any and everything "Disney" will be called home and no other services will have it. That includes Star Wars.

They're supposedly developing a "live action" show based on Star Wars for the new service.

Finished it.
Has the usual Hollywood insults against Christians and Republicans.
But it read still a good story.
Definitely will be a season 3.

Who’s gonna break the news to this guy? Let him down easy. If he resists, break his soul with Internet proof.
