This Sunday, 20 JAN 19, Crystal Coast IDPA will host our first match at Flatwoods, 111 2nd Amendment Lane Hubert, NC 28539. We will run 6 stages, bring 100 rounds minimum. IF time permits, we will also run the 5X5 Classifier right after the match. Our range is all wooden decked, as in you will be shooting on a clean surface, NO MUD!!!! Please join us and help us grow this match, many thanks.

Would love to help you grow your event but...my sundays are spoken for.
Good luck with it and thanks for shooting with us last week at H2o...in da mud!

Only 1hr from me, might be able to make a future match. Is this going to be a regular thing the 3rd Sunday of each month? Also, what's the start time?

What time John? Might be able to make it.

* Found it. Registration opens at 10:30, safety brief at 11:30, and shoot at noon.

Look Ma! No Mud!

*except for the 50 yard standards stage... which I also enjoyed.
Excuse me, only 48 yards, because @John Z said "only a jerk would set up a 50 yard stage". ;)

Sorry I didn't get any action shots. I was too busy messing up score sheets.

This match was a lot of fun. We had a large time.
Lots of Marines, and a few of us old guys. When the scores get posted we'll see if old age and treachery can beat youth and stamina.

Thanks very much for the pictures. Soon as it warms up a bit, will be back out finishing up the deck on bay 6, and then painting the deck on the rest of bay 4 and into 5 &6, we are getting there!!

All the folks here appreciated you coming down to help and advise us all on IDPA, we want to provide a GREAT venue for all IDPA shooters here at the Coast of North Carolina

You are well on your way. That was a great first match yesterday.

Looks nice.
Probably won't make it over that way til June, hope the dates match up so I can check this out.

Hi is this going to be a repeatable thing ?I just looked up what idpa is and low and behold I own a shield. You're 2 hours away but screw it I don't mind a drive every now and then. Seeing I work every Saturday Sunday matches are perfect for me.

GREAT, look forward to you joining us this month on Sunday the 17th. I promise you will have a FUN, SAFE and challenging match, with some very good people, most of our shooters are US Marines, some of the finest human beings on the planet, as are all that serve or have served in any Branch, but here in the Camp LeJeune area, we are pretty much SEMPER FI !!!

Unfortunately I can't make it this month. I volunteer as an assistant scout master and my boys have something going on that weekend. Hopefully next month. I will be at the ant hill match

Is the match Sunday still on? Forecast for Sunday afternoon is a little iffy. I should be able to make it if the forecast doesn’t get any worse.

yes it is a GO for tomorrow and thanks for asking. The forecast as of right now, is worst it gets is 15% rain at 1500, so we are GO TO GO. Anyone coming down from the Raleigh area, there will be plenty of quality brass for sale (indoor range purchased, not outdoor range pickup stuff) I won't post prices and stuff on this thread, as I think that is not in compliance with the forum rules.

John Z, enjoyed the match Sunday, you guys are building something nice up there in J'ville. All the guys I shot with from BGC seemed to like the setup too. I'll be back, maybe I can catch a zombie match at some point too. Don't be shy with the longish distance stages either, those are my favorites.

Folks, if you get a chance, check out one of john z's matches. You will have a good time and be challenged too.

Thanks for taking the time to post up some kind words Dave, we try hard. What we are trying to build here is going to be a GREAT place for our ZSA matches, IDPA and also to do the USMC Unit private training/match events. It's alot of work, and as everyone on the Coast of NC is very well aware, doing work with all the rain can be a bit trying at times, but by late Spring/Early Summer, we should have 7 bays ALL DECKED and painted. Really appreciate all the support from the IDPA community!!!
