Somewhere along the way I lost the little Marlin Bullseye. I’ve acquired another one but it will have to be contoured to the stock, etc to look right. This rifle is mint! So I don’t want to risk doing something stupid. Does anyone have any helpful hints that they’d share?

Thanks in advance!

Unbelievable coincidence.

My Golden 39A Mountie is also missing the bullseye. I haven't gotten a replacement yet, but my plan is to put some painter's tape across the hole and cut the tape out of the diameter of the hole, then glue in the bullseye and sand it. The painter's tape will at least give me a little bit of a safety margin if I ham-fist it.

I may be able to cut mine in half. If I can, I will give you the other half. I’m in Gastonia about every day.

isn't that just there to line up the screws for your sling swivel?!

That would be great, thanks!

Certainly no rush, though. The bullseye has been missing for years.

I've seen where people mount the swivel right in the bullseye, but mine had swivels in it from the factory, and a bullseye.

Tim was joking, don’tscrew the swivel into the bullseye!

Use a file and then a sanding block, if you hold the sandpaper by hand the risk goes way up.
