My new favorite Country Song???

I've always loved the older rap stuff. I was a OG back in the early 80's. I had friends that started calling me "DJ Majicmike" I lost the DJ part along the way. Rarely do I hear a new rap song I like. I have never just listened to one type of music. My playlist will go from George Jones to the Ying Yang twins and everything in between.

Colt Ford ruined modern country by 'teaching' Aldean to rap that godawful dirt road crap. I can't stand either one of those dudes but at least Ford was original.

Come on now, Colt Ford and George Jones,, it doesn't get much better than that

Awesome thread.
Jelly Roll once said "Colt Ford's about as country as I am skinny. If Colt Ford is country I'll kiss your ass and throw every Corey Smith record that I own in the trash."

Here's one.
You can search for the video, its imagery may be deemed inappropriate for the forum.
I was the oddball up north listening to southern rap while everyone was east coast west coast.
I'm with some other people here, my library ranges from classical, jazz to metal, hardcore and everything else.

He may also have bedazzled jeans.
And they're from one of those malls stores like Express ;)

Y'all ever saw that Bro Country Mashup video where every song sounds almost the same and they all say the same thing?

Almost like Ackerman-McQueen does Billboard Country chart research

When I was a kid I milked cows twice a day and all the boss man would play is the time life best country collection. It was all the great country songs from the 50s to the mid seventies. So for 5 years, that's all I heard for three hours, twice a day, and it shaped what I thought country should sound like. As a funny related story, I switched the radio one day to a def leopard tape and the boss beat me with a stick and told me cows will give spoiled milk if I played that garbage......to this day I still listen to vern, Charlie pride, Tom t hall etc.
