I've tried suspenders a number of times and been a bit ambivalent about them, but since I lost weight and the one MegaGut turned into two smaller TurboBellies pants just don't stay up worth a damn.

Then while once again trying to find a solution I came across Perry style suspenders. I get to keep my belt, the clips don't wreck my pants and I no longer have to hitch my britches every four bloody paces! So comfortable! And what's more they make me look even more like a cranky old coot!

I may have to try the bib overalls next, because those look even more comfy.....

@thrillhill Any recommended brands for a big old bast.... fella?

So you are belt and suspenders bloke now - shoulder holster next?

I wear suspenders just about every day here on the farm and have for years.

The best brand that I’ve come across is Better S-Penders, made in Grants Pass, OR. Their website is loggersuspenders.com

Very high quality suspenders. You can get them in belt loop clip on, Batchelor button style, or the clamp on style.

I use button and belt loop.

They look great but I've tried the regular suspenders before. I could never adjust them to be comfy sitting AND standing because they never have enough stretch

I wore Dickies Perry style suspenders for years and liked them. They come in brown and black, and I picked them up at Walmart. I would even wear them under a T shirt and was comfortable. They would wear out and start to look pretty ratty after about 3 or 4 years. My pop had some Duluth Perry styles that he liked.

Cheap as they are I can deal with 3 or 4 years
