Big Ed’s Chicken Pit - High Point meet and meat - July 5

It gives me great pleasure to announce we will be joined by one, and hopefully two, mysterious celebrities of global renown. For security reasons, I’m unable to mention their names but you’ll recognize both once you pass the screening process.

Joining us will require significant travel for these gentlemen and some of you may never enjoy another opportunity to meet and take selfies with them. They’ve asked me to request you to kindly not embarrass yourselves by requesting autographs.

In all honesty, Im a maybe, sounds good, just need to see what's going on at the time/when it gets closer

I can attend in a Kilt... prolly need to open carry a big honkin' revolver to keep Jeppo in his seat.

Well gentlefolk, DC was right. They're gonna be closed all week.

My normal diet leans more towards fresh-made tagliolini amply dusted with shaved white truffles married with a 2014 Sassicaia, finishing up with a heavenly tiramisu. Although I've lived in HP nearly 30 years, I don't consider myself expert in the area's BBQ offerings. Fer sure, we won't find that amazing BBQJ's pork chop end cut. The options I can think of are:

Carter Bros.
Country BBQ (new, up at the north end of Main, across from Weno's)
Kepley's (haven't been in ages 'cause the last time I went, I noticed a sanitation rating of about -100...only noticed it AFTER eating)

Opinions? Other options? What say U?

I've never been to High Point, but I see its close to Horneytown, so I might have to check it out!

I used to stop by Horneytown now and then... half the time they were closed, an' t'other half, they had fewer guns than Jeppo owns, nuthin' I wanted anyways.

I got Prime Rib last Sunday at Texas Steak and Tap house in Lexington. It was pretty dang good.

There's a public range on the north end of High Point.

I put in for the 5th off and was told it’s not a problem, so I should be good for a meetup.
