The Gun Run, June 22nd, Ellerbe NC

went to Woody's today, confirmed 200yd zero, did 50rnds of pistol at 50yds both hands. Now I am rolling with my hydration plan.

Hawaiian shirt, cargo shorts, white knee-high socks, and running shoes. Do it. DO. IT.

This just occurred to me. Will I need to wear a stopwatch on my person? I am not sure how they deal with subtracting wait time if you happen to catch up with the guy in front of you at a shooting position.

As i read the description, yes bring a time keeper. My wrist watch has a stop watch within its options, so i will run it
 
I ran this morning. I was a good event, better planned and run than I expected. You never know what you will get with a first-time event. It was physically challenging but doable. I would have liked to see more shooting, and longer rifle shots, but was not unhappy with what they had. I expected that it would be more about the running than the shooting. I still don't quite understand the scoring, but will talk to the match director in the future to make sure I understand how to properly game the system!

My gear worked pretty well. I will make a few changes before the next one. I slid my rifle through the sand while crawling under the dump truck, and I had some malfunctions that were probably caused by it. Cradle the damn thing next time dumbass! This caused me to DNF the weak-hand stage, which really pissed me off, because I was determined to clean them all.
 
Did anyone do an AAR on this? I'm hoping to do it in the fall if it gets scheduled.
