The wife and I decided to take our daughter and head west. My wife has never been anywhere west other than Nevada and California. I was out this way 22 years ago this month. We flew into Rapid City and went sightseeing, then spent the night in room 212 of the Bullock Hotel in Deadwood. Now we are on our way to The Devils Tower then over to the Ranch we are staying at in Cameron MT. Yellowstone is coming on Monday as long as we don’t get delayed. I apologize for very limited photos. Most of my photos are on my DSLR. If I remember I snap a couple with my phone when I see something cool, hence these. I will upload a few more as our trip goes on.

Sheridan WY is my hometown. If you're a beer guy, stop by black tooth brewery... they've got some amazing brews! Weatherby also just opened up their new headquarters there and I think they do tours. Cody WY just had a firearms history museum open up 2-3 weeks ago and it is supposed to be AWESOME.

If you want one of the most scenic drives of your life, drive to Cooke city, MT from Cody WY.

Edit: that drive is dead Indian pass

Enjoy your trip! I was there last summer. Wasn't impressed with Deadwood, but really liked Spearfish nearby. Climbed up the boulder field to the permit line at Devil's Tower then watched Close Encounters or the Third Kind at the cafe/gift shop outside the park. It was worth the visit.

Stayed about 10 miles South of there once, on the Madison River. There was a funky bar in Virginia City called the Pioneer Bar.
