IDPA - Coharie Shooting League, Clinton NC - monthly match

Lol, it's been so long since I shot I think I signed in as a NV because I couldn't remember what to put,, I don't think it really matters.
I guess that was you then! Or maybe now there are 3 of us.....
You are too funny!

They never have a category thats right for me. I alway look for the Natural Born killers/ John Wick category.and it's never there So I always hold back showing my true skillz. Don't want to bring much attention to myself around lesser shooters. That's why my score is always at the bottom. I don't want peps to see what a real badass is, I don't want them to quit the sport.

Thanks for holding yourself in check, I appreciate that!
But you'll really have to try hard to stay at the bottom of the score sheet now that I will be there...assuming I can get any score at all this early in my competition journey.
Signed,
Badass-in-the-making

Looks like you will be shooting with LeeAnn on your squad. She's a peach to shoot with.

@Millie what did you think about your first match?
It. Was. Awesome!!
Can't wait to do it again, without the getting lost on the way to the venue!
Everybody was great and helped me along the way. I learned a lot from this, and that was why I did it. Thanks, guys! Nice meeting you all.

Great day for shooting. My shooting sucked but at least I was there. Got to meet @Millie so it was a great day today be at Coharie
It was nice meeting you too, and I'm quite sure mine was the suckiest shooting of the day....but I don't care!

It was very nice to meet @Millie face-to-face. It takes some moxie to show up alone at a first match, and she's definitely got it. Millie, if you shot in the squad with Matt, Dominic, and Hal, you got to see some good shooting (if I'm leaving anybody out, don't be offended). Our squad had some really good shooters, too.

Please keep at it. I believe you'll learn more about your equipment, and shooting in general, by shooting these matches as @fieldgrade mentioned to you.

It was a great day, even though my "equipment" had some problems. I did see some excellent shooting, and was inspired. Maybe I'll see you Saturday. I'm giving the 9mm a chance to redeem itself.

I have been advised in no uncertain terms to be out of the house on Saturday.

I. Am. In.

Registration opens at 8am and match start at 9am.

Weather forecast looks good. Friday night humidity 96%, followed by morning scattered thunderstorms, after which the humidity lowers to 74%. High Saturday 92 with little wind, which in Clinton will be a real-feel of "Hot Steamy Breath of Satan," or "110 in the shade with a slight hog farm aroma."

I trained for this 45 years ago when I worked in tobacco, hanging a double barn by myself in the middle of August.

No scores this month due to total washout at the end of the match and completely soaked score sheets, as well as 14” of water at the gate when Bert was trying close the range.

Forecast is spectacular
