What have you recently purchased that is firearms related?

Have a Vortex HST 4-16x44 and a American Defense QD mount on the way to go on the new 6.5 Grendel upper I put together.

I ordered some little round gel packs to put under a hat for keeping cool at matches! I could have used them Saturday.

The other day, I watched a woman and her son wheel a suitcase full'a handguns into a LGS. They walked out very happy with $1,000 in cash. A couple days later, ONE of those guns (29-3, 8 3/4") was in the case marked at $900. o_O

That was fairly crappy of the LGS owner to take advantage of the ignorance of that woman and her son. I am glad the people were happy and I hope they never find out how much they should have received.

I have not been very active in shooting lately for reasons beyond my control and have only bought a few items with which to play in my rare free time. I got a 450 Bushmaster upper with all the trimmings, a Sig p365 that I like, a 45/70 Trapdoor, another Ruger 44 Carbine, a bunch of new magazines for a variety of pistols, and several new holsters by Galco, DeSantis, and Simply Rugged. I was also given a Parker crossbow. That should be interesting.

Snagged another 2000rds of rimfire ammo since Brownell's sent a coupon code for 10% off + free shipping and had CCI SV on 'sale'. $96 shipped for 2000 rds of underrated target quality ammo is just my game

Damn it. I was doing a good job paying down the credit card but Primary Arms fights me every step of the way.

I had to buy another CMC trigger and Cyclops ACSS scope. They have the trigger on sale for $129. They also have coupons for the next two days so I was able to take $36 off the order and both my selections have free shipping.

I had a similar situation at a gun store I worked in. An older woman came in and wanted to sell her deceased husbands handgun and she showed it to me. Rather than checking the value of said handgun, one of the salesmen came up and gave her what I considered a low price. She looked to me and I gave her my business card and told her to take it home and I would look up the value and she could call me later. Apparently the salesman, who I had respected as a Vietnam Vet, was low balling her to buy it for himself at a bargain price. I had no interest in it, but hated the fact he would cheat her so I told her the true value. She wanted it gone, so I have her the full price. It was a Colt Agent in pristine condition. My hubby put a Tyler T on it, and I still have it to this day.

This sort of thing happens a lot with ham radio estates, good friends often take advantage of the widow.
We recommend you have a list of your inventory and what you paid for each item and date purchased.

I have such a list, in Excel, on a thumb drive in the safe. In addition, is the contact information of some trustworthy friends I hope will help out "when the time comes".

No list for me, no dates or prices either. I really don't care what I paid for them as when they are sold it's always the going $ and not what was paid.

My Will has a name to handle the sales of firearms, blades, accessories and ammo. Also both daughters are getting two items of MY choice (more? then they can pay). For the friends help he gets a S&W M19 and all ammo for it.

Need a friend who’ll help for the gun only?

Yeah, sure! I need about 8 yards of gravel spread. I provide the shovel and wheelbarrow. You will still need to wait till I'm gone for the gun though... (if you go 1st from the gravel, deal's off!) :)

450rds 62gr 5.56, 200rds 200gr .300Blk, 500rds 124gr 9mm, 250rds 95gr .380, three 20rd Lancer AR mags for my .300Blk SBR & a 10 pack of grey teflon 'milspec' 30rd mags for the missus' AR.

We're trying to start stocking up a goodly pile for everything we shoot. Got a very healthy stack of .22lr & am sittin' pretty for ammo, components, or both for my 'oddballs' (.357Max, .41Mag & 6.8SPC), but I'd really like to have 1K+ rds on hand for everything (vs. just a few hundred) & 5 - 10K each of 5.56 & 9mm. Startin' to lay back mags & spare parts, as well.

I agree when items are sold, market prices will apply, however, should you have something rare in the collection this will help you
get a better return on the liquidation.

Another benefit of the spreadsheet is that it contains details (i.e., came with numbered box, 2 mags, tools and documents). Hopefully, that will tip off those tasked with the “disposal” that they should rummage around in the garage to sell the item “complete”. It would be a pity to sell off an apparently new gun and ignore all the accompanying goodies that increase the value.

Picked up a Winchester Model 56 ... probably 1928 or so (I've not taken the stock off to see yet). Not in great condition but with a factory (black) stainless steel barrel, which is really unusual.

I'm a sucker for old 22 rifles, especially Winnies....

I bought 5 targets and 2 boxes of 9mm for the G19.

Went to the bazaar and paid for this 17" bayonet. Its a British Pattern 1913 for the Pattern 1914 rifle. Both the rifle and bayonet were made by Remington Arms. All these bayonets were made by Remington. This on in Sep 16' to go along with the 1917 produced rifle. The US also used this bayonet with the following arms. M1917 rifle, M1897, M12 and M1200 shotguns (7 total trench guns)

I've been in a drought lately.

The last thing I bought gun related was a fixed barrel spacer so I could mount my Revolution 9 to my MP5 clone.
