Ya'll convinced me to order a bottle of Uncle Nearest from Flaviar. Might as well take advantage of free shipping for the ridiculous membership price I paid.

@concepthomes1 I (might have posted this before) pick the Appleton Estates in Ochoa Rios. Not sure that I have seen the 12 year here in the states. If you can find some buy it. I have not tried the Kirk and Sweeney. I am enjoying a rum with a cigar .

What did you think of it? i found 3 bottles in three different places of the 10 year mckenna and had 1 decent bottle. the other 2 were not very good. I prefer my eagle rare or 4 roses to the best bottle of mckenna. Buffalo Trace is better than my usual 2 choices.

I haven't tried it. I think I enjoy the collecting more than the drinking.

WallyWorld was out of Can-O-Bliss :( so I got this pack. Loved the “just take the whole damn thing”. Not a fan of the Pale Ale, love the Pinner & Bliss.

Was coming back from a clients office and decided to to stop at a local liquor store.

Man, now who's killing it here lately!

I crave the Single Barrel some days just like I get random cravings for raw oysters. When it comes over me I swear I can taste either one like I just had them a few seconds ago.

Ohhhh, E.H Taylor Single Barrel and raw oysters! I got a new plan for this weekend.

I picked up one of these over the weekend, mostly just to get the G'Knight. Might be my favorite beer ever, if I had to choose one; but I like pretty much all Oscar Blues/Cigar City beers.

I haven’t tried the G’Night yet, not a fan of the Dale’s or Pils.

Just read the description, gotta dig one out now. Sounds RIGHT up my alley. My favorites are malty double IPA’s like Seeing Double.

The first couple of sips are like biting the end off a honeysuckle, then it turns piney/resinous.

I know, I'm goofy.

It's hard to find outside of the Asheville area these days.

That looks just like my stash right now! Going through a bottle of Larceny now and then will probably move back over to buffalo trace. Haven't had any in a while. Have two unopened uncle nearest and two bottles of knob creek.

Should keep me busy for a bit

Always cook steaks for the family on Sunday nights. That means a trip to the meat market in Angier, which also means a trip to see Shirley.
Both of these are repeats, but seem to be flying off the shelves so I grabbed a replacement. Cheers!

Have you tested out the issac bowman yet? If you didn't, then try that one with an ice cube, then follow it up with the caribou crossing (neat). Interested in hearing what you think of the two.

No I haven’t “tested” the Bowman yet. I tried it when I first opened the bottle, and was sort of unimpressed. Figured it needed air or time. Also, didn’t have an open Blantons to compare. Now that I have a replacement bottle of Caribou, I’ll open one and check it out. What do you think? What’s your latest go to?

Caribou Crossing is a very traditional Canadian Whiskey. Smooth for days. Almost no to faint nose. Surprisingly good legs. Dangerously easy drinker, even neat. Not very memorable, but I might have a buzz.....goes well with steak. My $.02

Going to my kids house in Atlanta this weekend and wanted to bring something to drink. Even though it is not Tuesday, I stopped by Habersham Beverage to see if they had any Uncle Nearest in the back. Answer was "NO". Then asked if they could order be a couple of bottles and if they had anything in the back. Again, it is Monday and was thinking the answer was "NO". The guy said we have one bottle of Weller 12 left. I will take it. Then asked when they would get some Buffalo Trace in and said that they had some in the back. He asked if I wanted a liter or 1.75. When he brought it out he said the glad you did not what 2.
