Dixie Gun and Knife Show- August 3-4th. (Raleigh)

Is there someplace where vendors mention when they will be at a show and what their table names are? I walked around with my CFF badge on, but I don’t know who is whom by sight.

Show seemed a little quiet today. Introduced myself to @cubrock and we chatted a bit about shooter grade Hi Power copies. I should have brought more money to the show, or ...maybe its a good thing I didn't bring more money to the show. ;)

I grabbed a few ammo cans for 2/$15 and a few of the 'white' pmags that I can dye some funky color later. Reasonably cheap show for me, I didn't even buy lunch.

I saw something today that was strange. Almost shocked. cubrock was actually setting down! I was the only person in the line. As always I really enjoyed out conversation. I was sorely tempted by a nice FM Hi-Power.

Bought some Winchester Primers from Mark, of Ammo Plus. Large spray can of Ballistol. I forget the vendor. Probably paid too much for a Commander holster, from Backwoods Leather. But, it's nice.

There seemed to be a lot of used revolvers and pistols. More than I remember seeing before. I had to talk myself out of a Glock 23 at Picasso Pawn. Best OTD price of $349.99. What do I need with a .40 S&W? No offense meant to 40 affectionados.

Enjoyed talking with Johnny Bryant, at the Swop Shop tables. He knows his Colt stuff.

Good seeing everyone. It was quiet today - much quieter than Saturday. Definitely was no rush on ARs, AKs, or the like.

It was a good show. :) I went today from 11:00 to 4:30 and was able to pick up everything I needed to. I finally got my Magpul D-50 308 drum from Black Rifle Works. :D Also picked up some more Vihtavuori 140 and Hornady 75gr HPBT Match .224 bullets from Blue Collar, ended up getting the 500ct box because it had a really nice discount to it. I also finally found a name brand (non-Chinesium) Radeon Raptor charging handle for a reasonable price! I am definitely excited about that. I also found a few of the PTK angled foregrips with additional thumbrests that I really like. I found two black ones, so those are now on my primary AR15 and my AR10. :3 I also got a rather nice damascus steel knife from the awesome middle-eastern man selling his business' handmade knives. The last was a bit of an impulse buy, but it seems like a really well made, balanced, useful and pretty knife!

Lots of awesome guns out. A few Mak90s, which was a pleasant surprise. I even saw a seemingly legitimate, working flamethrower! :D Very exciting. Even a real transferable select fire Colt DEA AR15, the one with the A2 stock and 10" barrel. :D Even had a few semiauto-converted heavy machine guns, including a Maxim and an M1919 50cal. Really just lots of great stuff all around. I was impressed, and I hope there's this much available at the November show. I'll certainly be saving money up for it!

November is often the best show of the year there. We try not to miss it. Put our deposit down on tables for it today.
