I ran across this interview with “White Feather” many years ago and ran across it again today, if you haven’t seen it give it a look, the guy was one of a kind!

Also read the book “Marine Sniper”, it’s the story of his career and it goes into more detail about some of the tales he mentions in the interview.

Awesome book.

He is one guy I always tour the prowess of...
Without Long Trang, there would be no Chris Kyle, etc...

On a side note, he trained my instructor, so I have a direct lineage.
That’s right, who wants to be my friend?

Not knocking White Feather at all, but everyone seems to forget about Chuck Mawhinney & Adelbert Waldren, who both had more confirmed kills than Hathcock, along with Eric England. He definitely had the cockiness & personality to get his story out there, though.

Well, one thing that is noted in the book, he had 93 confirmed, but had +/- 400 unconfirmed.

Yeah, no way to tell for sure what went down in a shitshow like Vietnam. Every one of them dudes had balls of steel & some very serious chops.

Yup, a classic read for sure. I was fortunate enough to meet him at a book signing years ago, where he was kind enough to autograph my copy.

Same here in Virginia at a gun show. Only time I have ever been speechless and in awe of someone. He was at that time a living legend. A patriot and a warrior on an elite level. Glad he was on our side.

We have one in our ranks here. He will be in attendance in October. He shot along side Hathcock. Ha several picture of them together. It will be my pleasure to introduce you to him. He deserves all of our respect.

They are a very unique breed. I had a friend/coworker years ago who was an army sniper in vietnam. He was pretty squared away when I met him, but he had spent many years after that war as an intravenous drug user. We were close enough that he shared some stories. How anyone could walk away from that shit show with any marbles left is beyond me.

I read the book also long ago, but had never seen the video. Thanks for that.
