Why No Rails On Subcompacts?

I always assumed there wasn't enough material on there to keep it from flexing during recoil and potentially causing malfunctions when the slide whacks against the frame / heavy light mounted on there.

Or they're holding out to put it on the Gen 6.
 
Besides the Poly 80 Builds Why Arent Rails Manufactured On G26/27s?


Back when the 26/27 came out the only lights worth a darn were too big to put on those guns.

Now we have smaller lights that are good quality.

But Glock is of course notoriously slow to respond to the market.

Fortunately you still have options like the link below.

But, thanks to the flex of the frame when fired as mentioned above, these type lights should be considered "semi-disposable" as they are gonna have a shelf life measured in rounds fired.

I am familiar with the Streamlight line, and the one WITHOUT the laser is gonna be more durable than the one with the laser. I believe Crimson Trace offers something similar but I have no experience with those.
