I've read lots of good things about these mags, basically a cheaper equivalent to the Pmag. I've never had the chance to use one so I wouldn't know. Can anyone give me some 1st hand input.

Last PMags I bought were from PSA. $8.55 taxed and delivered in quantities of 10 or more.

But I'm not paying $15-17 for a gen 3 pmag, no way, I'll pay 10 bucks for some already of green HEXMAGS tho that's not bad

Right I got some of them too, just trying to Branch out, they make HEXMAGS in OD green

Why? If it ain't broke don't fix it. I have OD pmags. I thought you said it was a cheaper option to pmags? Doesn't seem like the case. Unless they have some advantage over a pmag it doesn't make sense to me.

I have pmags and Troy mags because they were cheap and good quality. I also have metal mags. I know people who prefer Lancers because they're clear.

I guess its personal preference, I can't find OD PMAGs, they don't make them anymore I've looked for them too, if you like gen 2 PMAGs then that's fine, I have no problem with them, I just like the have variety, I like to know that more than one type of mag works in my gun

For $10 a pop it may be worth just buying a few and trying them out and report back. I personally picked up enough Pmags, GI, and Troys over the past few years that I’ve not needed to delve into anything else.

I have a gray one. It’s been flawless.

Of course, it’s sole purpose is a brass chute on my AR57, but I needed a mag to match the gray furniture. :D

(I also had to remove the baseplate, spring and follower, and cut a little off the top and bottom...but what’s left of the body has given me zero issues)

I only have 16 mags total for my ARs, that's probably a drop in the bucket compared to all of you guys lol I'd rather get mags already green so I don't have to dye them or paint them

I only have around 30, id guess...but some here have 30 in the trunk of their car alone...

Don't let the media here that! It's an arsenal I tell you! An ARSENAL!!!

I don't have nearly as many as I used to. AR mags are cheap in general though. So, I have more than any other platform. If I had to guess it's still only a few dozen maybe.

Buy a couple and try ‘em at the range but is saving a few bucks worth the aggravation? And if you use them in your HD/SD carbine is that couple bucks really worth the Risk? Range use maybe ... but after that I’d need a lot more comfort factor to go farther.

Personally I like good old style GI aluminum mags ... yeah I have some PMAGs along with Lancers and a few Troys but I have a bunch of good old GI mags I’ve refreshed with anti-tilt followers and new springs (and more rebuild kits stashed back) that will be around a long time after I’m gone.

If you want od green mags for the range than the hexmags should be fine. I have one that has never gave me an issue for personal range use. I have seen guys try and run them in their M4s and they have failed when using full auto or burst. Not really huge deal to most just wanted to share what I have seen. I try and stick to magpul, lancer, or gi issue.
