Both choices look like winners.
Is the Shadow2’s difference worth almost 2x the price?
Or should one get the SP & spend some $ with Cajun Works?

Depends on use. I feel like to get an SP-o1 to shoot like a S2 you will dump a lot of money into it.

If it were a bedside, carry, or all rounder I'd think the Sp-01 will be good.

If it were for any competition and/or mostly range use and shooting pleasure, I'd get the S2. It's far superior in every way for that. All the CGW parts in the world won't make an SP-01 "as nice" as a S2. Just my opinion.

I would have to agree with @NKD on this one, there are some differences in the Shadow 2 frame that you would not be able to get without some serious gunsmithing. And side by side my SP01 tactical with full cajun kit and polish is still not quite as nice as my factory S2. I personally would not have any issue with using the S2 as a bedside gun, but it is a matter of how nice do you want it to be for its intended use. And of course my usual advice with CZs applies, get both :D

Yeah, for the record, I'd happily use one as a bedside gun or all rounder, too.

But some might be spooked by lack of FPB on Shadows.

NNHI gave answer, but in case anybody didn't know this:

All the Shadow models eliminate the firing pin block that is found in P-01, Sp-01, 75B (The B stands for Block), etc.
CZ85 Combat, Tactical Sports, and Chechmate are some others without the FPB. I'm sure I'm missing one or two.

i may be a month late and a bit biased, but hands down, the cz shadow 2 is the best shooting pistol i have ever put my grubby paws on. in fact im considering making it my new edc.

How ya likin it? Is it everything you hoped?
I've warmed it up a few times side by side with a G34. I hit better with the G34, a Delta Pro Point and old eyes are the only reason. More time with it will change that.
Shooting a string, I see why it's been referred to as a "lead hose". The first time it felt like it automatically fired a second round, and stayed on target! The natural point of aim/fit is perfect.
It's fun to put in someone's hands that's never held a CZ and see their reaction. :D

I’ve been wanting to shoot a S2. I just know what will happen if/when I do.

The S2 all the way but if you want to take it to the next level you need to Cajunize it. #CGW

Then you probably shouldn't carry your stock one.
Other than take up and reset, CGW didnt change the SA pull, they changed the DA pull

Yup it is really all about the takeup and reset in the SA mode. The DA is lighter and smoother. The 10X bushing is also nice. I like to shoot clay pigeons on a burm at 50 Yards with this thing. It is fun to dial it in and watch the clay pop.

IIRC all said and done I have about $1,500 in the gun which for the level of performance it is capable of is an outstanding value. Right out of the box at about $1000 it is one of the best values on the market.

looks like i need to get one of them trigger scales and see where mine is at. i didn't think it was that light, i guessed it was just over 3lbs, but then again what man hasn't thought some measurement was bigger than it actually is?

Mine has the flat trigger, floating pin and lighter trigger and action spring. The thing I like about the flat trigger is an adjustable pre-travel screw which you can access from inside. I also converted the trigger to SAO which required removing the disconnector. Ok for USPSA limited Class but too heavy for IDPA.

The rear sight is a fully adjustable fiber optic and those are custom grips. I was able to do the work my self with help from my shooting partner. He has 3 of them. Does it shoot better than when stock? Yes a little, for me, but it is sweet right out of the box.

im thinking about 3d printing some new grips for mine, but i hate to take the blue ones off.

just got my first SP-01T today, i need to figure out what it's pulls are, i'm sure it could use some workView attachment 156715

If I had to take a s.w.a.g., I'd say in the neighborhood of 11lb 12oz and 4lb 6oz....give or take. IIRC, most all mine have read in that vicinity when I got them.
As far as 'needing' some work, I would argue all it needs is a spring change to help that da. The CGW 3 spring kit is a no brainer upgrade at $25 shipped. Helps the da tremendously. I put the 3 spring kit in my Urban Gray Tactical and it brough the da down to 9lb 6oz while the sa stayed constant at 4lb 8oz.
