Can you forgive me? (Rambo: Last Blood)

Over the hill, rabid anti-gunner LA liberal who makes a living playing a hypocrite...

I'll pass...

Enjoy helping him buy a plate at the next Bloomberg dinner...

So...you watch movies with your eyes and ears closed then?

he doesnt PLAY a hypocrite, he IS a hypocrite

Im sure it'll be fun, but I doubt this is very good

I saw the second around Kindergarten, the 3rd a few years later, the first while in middle school. It's a part of my youth I can't resist. Won't rush to the theatre but I'll see it eventually.

Rambo last blood. He has reached menopause. He will be bitchy, itchy, sweaty, sleepy, bloated, forgetful and psycho. Sounds like a great movie.
You just described my last gf

I bought this once.
Just read some of the reviews.
Those alone should make someone want to watch it.
One called it racist.
Another called it the worst parts of Donald Trump's campaign.
Sure it was violent. But certainly not racist.
Nothing in it regarding the cartel sex trafficking and kid napping isn't actually happening in Mexico.
Love the booby trap laden final battle.

If you watch the special features on Rambo 4, Stalone said the original plan involved a kidnapping in Mexico. But at the time there was a lot of crap happening in Buruma. So here choose that angle.

Stalone is too old to pull off another one.
He should stick to behind the camera work.

Just noticed this is on Amazon Prime. It must be a fairly recent add, as I searched Amazon/Hulu/Netflix a couple weeks ago looking for a free way to watch it.

I saw a copy a few months back. don't worry, I didn't pay. and I'm happy about that.
It was a lot like what i'd expect if a screenwriter from the lifetime movie network tried their hand at writing for spiketv...

I honestly think the first Rambo was the best of them all. It want far fetched and over blown as bad as the rest.
The original intent was for Rambo to die in the first one. Someone had an epiphany in post production and said let him live! I see Rambo lunch boxes and bed sheets in our future!!!

So my good buddy @gravehunterzero texted me and said that this was on Prime
So what better way to spend a lazy Sunday morning than watching an action movie.

I really dont care what this man does in his personal lives, as long as it's not harming anyone, so I watched it expecting a 'bad' movie and it ended up being ok with it.
Slow start. Like first hour (Im assuming it's 90 minutes~ long) wasnt all that wonderful, couple spikes of interest here and there.
But then that last third was pretty good. ULTRA VIOLENT

Im not saying it's bad, but Im not in a hurry to watch it again. And I may not. But that's ok. Heck, I only saw the previous one twice in about 15 years

I think it’s listed at 1:29, which includes all the credits.

I watched it one day last week. It’s definitely slow for the first hour+...and then the siege at the homestead.

(I posted it was on Prime back on 4/12 :p )

Watched it after work last week. Rare that a movie is short enough for that anymore. It wasn't the worst thing I've ever seen by far, but I wouldn't call it good either.

The movie was a tired old cliche when it comes to Stallone. In virtually every movie Stallone has been in, going all the way back to Rocky, he gets the absolute crap beat out of him, then he comes back at the end to revenge his beat-down. It was an awful movie. Perfect for a 'quarantine' escape and nothing more.

The scene where he's recovering from the inevitable beat-down in the journalist's home was a direct steal from Silverado with Scott Glenn. Then, why didn't he take his niece to her rather than try to get back home........stupid. Just totally stupid. All of his time in SEA and he didn't now what to do for heroin overdose?

@LTC Don I would think you'd want to get your kid out of the country and back home as quick as possible, not keep her in the same city as the gang

Saw this and expected better. Rambo turned into a total puss. There's no way that the John Rambo of the first dozen films would have accepted a beat down like that or gone into the enemy's AO unarmed.
