Let's see what happened first. If it is really a coordinated team doing it, could be actual terrorism and disappear down the memory hole in a day or two.

This shooting is not like the other “mass shootings” of late. As near as I understand the reports it started when he shot a DPS Trooper who pulled him over and when on a 20 or so mile chase and shooting spree where he stole a mail truck before taking cover in a movie theater? This sounds more like a felon (illegally possessing a firearm or maybe more) stopped and just went out in a blaze of fire with no regard for who he took with him. Not a planned act but still gives gun control nuts fuel for their mob fires. If he was firing from a moving vehicle I’m almost betting a handgun for that portion of the event ... and with the volume of fire a double stack type with at least a couple spare mags.

A TX politician statement: https://m.facebook.com/MattForTexas/posts/2368241106544584

Representative Matt Schaefer

“Do something!” is the statement we keep hearing. As an elected official with a vote in Austin, let me tell you what I am NOT going to do. I am NOT going to use the evil acts of a handful of people to diminish the God-given rights of my fellow Texans. Period. None of these so-called gun-control solutions will work to stop a person with evil intent. I say NO to “red flag” pre-crime laws. NO to universal background checks. NO to bans on AR-15s, or high capacity magazines. NO to mandatory gun buybacks. What can we do? YES to praying for victims. YES to praying for protection. YES to praying that God would transform the hearts of people with evil intent. YES to fathers not leaving their wives and children. YES to discipline in the homes. YES to supporting our public schools. YES to giving every law-abiding single mom the right to carry a handgun to protect her and her kids without permission from the state, and the same for all other law-abiding Texans of age. YES to your God-given, constitutionally protected rights. YES to God, and NO to more government intrusions.

The reported start of this incident was extremely strange.
The terrifying chain of events began when Texas state troopers tried pulling over a gold car mid-Saturday afternoon on Interstate 20 for failing to signal a left turn, Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Katherine Cesinger said.
And this gives credence to the idea the shooter was a criminal known to the police.
(Odessa Police Chief Michael) Gerke described the suspect as a white male in his 30s. He did not name him or a motive but said he has some idea who the gunman is.

5 dead, 21 injured over a turn signal violation. Think about it.

It’s only going to get worse.

So are you saying that it's the cops fault for pulling him over for a turn signal violation?

There is a difference between being at fault and causing an event through unrelated or semi related action. No, the cop wasn’t at fault, but he did set the events in motion.

I’m reminded of what @tanstaafl72555 pointed out a while back. Any time you pass a “law” you are also backing up enforcement of it with up to and including deadly force. Considering the potential consequences, which were severe for innocent people, I blame the policing for profit mentality that exists in this country.

I’m sure that the failure to use a stupid turn signal constituted a severe enough safety issue to necessitate an attempt to issue a revenue collection grab from the Subject residing Texas.

As I said it’s going to be worse. The more stupid laws they pass, the more victimless crimes against the state, the more attempts to wrongfully confiscate people’s property because someone said you said something on Farcebook, the worse it’s going to get. People are losing respect for a government that has demonstrated itself unworthy of respect. The face of that scourge of a government is the badge that threatens lethal force in its name for failure to comply with this or that. The temperatures rising and things like this are the result.

Buckle up, cause we’re just getting started.

No, the gunman was at fault but I guess that traffic citation was worth it. That can be interpreted two ways.

I really do not want to believe it, but it's just to close to the government coming back in session. The shadow government is behind these few shooting.

I honestly wouldn’t put it past them, as their lust for control is too great. It’s like a crack addiction, need more and more.

This case I suspect was a “prohibited person” in possession of a rifle (so much for magic laws) who said, “I ain’t going back to prison” and went out in a blaze instead. He obviously didn’t care about the people at large.

So they have had the body since yesterday evening and still no info other than white male in his 30's? Scrubbing the internet first maybe?

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/...partisan-effort-to-stop-mass-atrocity-in-u-s/

Pence added that both he and the White House “remain absolutely determined to work with leaders in both parties in Congress to take steps that we can address and confront this scourge of mass atrocity in our country.”

So other then destroying free will of the human being, nothing will stop this. No law, ban or extra license.

Reports are also saying an “AR type” rifle is what he used. The first shots at the Trooper we’re supposedly fire thru the shooter’s back window after being pulled over for failing to signal on a left turn. After the first shots fired at the DPS vehicle he drove off firing and it was on. Driving a Honda (I swore it was Toyota from photos yesterday) I wonder if he had a carbine or was this an AR pistol setup?

U.S. Rep. Tom Craddick told the Reporter-Telegram he had previously failed a background check.

If then that's proof that a 'universal background check' won't work. No need to consider it.

While I'm on it...

GFZ (schools) don't work either. If they did the school shooting would have stopped. Time to strike that law...

Beto on CNN today, he lost it, dropped the F Bomb and CNN did not censor it.
Trying to push his gun control plans.

So no social media info on this POS? The commenting libs are claiming Trumpster, but nothing to back it up as far as I can tell.

Anyone find any links to credible intel?

Neighbor of Texas gunman says he threatened her with rifle weeks ago

Calls Cops, Reported Cops did not respond

Investigators are now looking into who sold the weapon to 36-year-old Seth Ator, who failed a gun background check in 2014 because, law enforcement officials told NBC News, he had a disqualifying mental health issue.
Mental health issue? Long gun purchases in Texas (like here in NC) are simple 4473 ... pay and go. There is no state or local type check that would have a flag pop up like say a CHP type check does that could have local court or medical records show an issue. I’m not to sure have much of a spin some people might be trying to twist here.

How do they know it was a private sale rather than theft? How do they know it wasn't a black market sale after the gun had been stolen? How do they know he didn't buy the gun at a gun shop after the trace chain had been broken? NICS is not supposed to keep records of background checks after 90 days (LOL - we know they have been caught doing just that more than once). Seems to me there is a lot of assumption going on.

There are a lot of ways he could have gotten that firearm that didn't involve a private sale by a law-abiding citizen.

Another 'news' article said gun show loophole. They have no info on where it was purchased.

You and your "questions" and looking for "facts" and all. How dare you??

How many signals did they NEED to look into this guy?
Even when they "WANTED" to check him out they "couldn't find his home because there was no GPS reference."
It almost seems like he was being allowed to fester in his own rage and paranoia until he could snap and become yet another gun control poster boy.
Almost.
