Well, my wife returned from her initial consultation for her melanoma and they said it was larger than they like for surgery alone. The melanoma was 1.0mm versus the 0.8mm they would be good with for surgery and observation. She's going back tomorrow for a second consultation to get her the surgery scheduled and nodes tested to see if it has spread.

Any prayers you all can offer would be greatly appreciated.

It's extremely tough to not appear concerned for her because she's already worrying so much.

I'll be praying for her not to have a lot of nodes involved.....the less those things are messed with, the better.
If she wants to talk to someone who has done the cancer trip, let me know.

Prayers for a healthy recovery.

Second consultation was much better. The Dr. believes it to only be stage 1, hence only needing the additional surgery to remove the rest of the affected skin deeper in the leg. While he did not believe she needed any further evaluation, she's still going to have her nodes tested, but it is highly unlikely to have spread. Much better prognosis and many questions answered. Surgery is scheduled for the 19th.

You tell her there are a whole lot of people she doesn't know praying for her (and you).

Prayers for her and you. Looks like the 2nd consultation was a bit of a blessing already.

Good news. Both you and her can take a breath at least. Stay positive. Prayers for you and her especially.

Incoming Prayers.

Prayers up.

Added note.
My mother has had several occurrences. Luckily all small enough for just removal and external treatment and monitors.
