What are you drinking?

Leadslinger's is a no-go for me. Not even as a mixer. Especially when it's priced around $30 (I think). It's just bland and boring. Now if it were $10 a bottle, it might be worth it. Maybe.

Went fly fishing in a little town in Va. Saw Dale Jr’s burned out plane, and on the way home stopped at a little liquor store on the way back to NC. It was a Saturday afternoon so I didn’t expect to find anything really. Walked in the door, engaged the clerk in conversation, told him I was from NC. He immediately said, we don’t have Blantons, E.H. Taylor, Weller...... as if on he anticipated my questions. I did find the above. Been looking for Noah....Cheers!

Boom! This happened today. Crappy pic, great content. Been waiting on a Stagg Jr for awhile. Cheers!!!!

Saw a bottle of the Kentucky Owl today and walked right past it. I am assuming from your Boom!, I should have bought it.

Tonight's pour

Please tell us how you like it!
Much lighter than the 1856. Corn is only 51% here versus 84% on the 1856 so not as corny/sweet. Its light bodied with an almost malty scotch like mouth feel. I taste citrus and melon. Its incredibly smooth drinking with zero Kentucky Hug in my opinion making it a super easy sipper.

You can order it from Caskers....theyll ship to NC

Because...

...it was rainy and dreary but cool.

Because...

...today at work all I ate for lunch was wild oyster mushrooms that we found, pickled, and canned (and they make me feel strong and froggy).

I worked a 6 day work week for the third time this month.

Because....

...my 17 year old awesome daughter already had the firebowl started for me when I came down the driveway (in the rain I might add, my mini-me is awesome if I do say so myself, and I do).

Because...

...a dear friend gave me this bottle, this is what I am drinking tonight.

And although @rantingredneck , and @BurnedOutGeek know I haven't been a HUGE Balvenie fan over the years, they knocked this one out of the park! I loves it!

Firebowl is lit. Y'all come on over if ya want to.

Just got home from driving all over Raleigh and Durham car shopping. Picked up a new to us Honda Odyssey. But I am tired, or I would take you up on that!

Sitting here on the couch sipping on some Jefferson's Ocean 15

Thought you you would like it! (At least strongly suggested ) I have a couple of bottles....Cheers!

I have gone Old School. Decided to crack a bottle of Old Grand-Dad from the 70's (GA tax stamp shows 1975) to see if it went bad. NOPE
Next up is a bottle of Old Forester.

No telling what that bottle would have been worth to a couple local spots in Charlotte that stock vintage stuff

@Wahoo95 please give me the name of those places. That is the only bottle of Old Grand-Dad that I have that is not in a box. That is the reason I picked it. I have a bunch of older liquors (not opened) from the 70's. Both clear and brown.

Crunkleton Charlotte has a lot of old stuff dating back to prohibition times. The price goes up as the age goes up

PM me if you have more as I have a contact at another high end cocktail bar that would be interested as well.

Woodford "Wheated"

Started on it last weekend.

For some reason after half a fifth of the Balvenie Peat Week, and almost half of this, it somehow slipped my mind to post any more pics.

Readdressing it tonight with a clean palate.

I like this one a lot.

I am often ambivalent when it comes to Woodford. Always been kinda middle of the road for me. But I'll try to keep some of this around.

Thanks @Studentofthegun !

Stepdad turned their breakfast nook into a bar..... been a long week so I'm gonna let it go a little bit tonight. @thrillhill that last pic is Greek mead, seems like something you'd like.

Just Glen Livet 12 year old.

Had a couple Voodoo Ranger IPA's while mowing. Working on my second Old Grandad Bonded and diet Dr Pepper. Probably gonna head downstairs and fire up the amp and annoy the wife and boy with some drunken guitar!

Travellers Choice blended whiskey. Cheap as anything and rough as a cob.
Man..... me send a buddy drank WAY too much of that one night when we were about 20 yrs old. That had to be the worst hangover I've ever had. I felt like someone had dressed up in an Easter bunny costume and beat me with a steel dildo the next morning.

Well there's something to look forward to!

Apparently I didn't drink enough. I feel fine this morning. Well as fine as mornings ever feel.

Misbehaving a little tonight.

VERY rough day at work today.

Finishing off the last of my first and only Weller 12 (old style bottle) following up with the only porter I like.

Both compliments of a fine gentleman, mentor, and forum member.

Gonna be a LONG morning tomorrow, but at least I'll earn it. LOL
