After Getting Bullied For His Homemade T-Shirt, This Boy's Logo Is Becoming a University Design

The University of Tennessee is adopting a new design after seeing a homemade logo from a young Florida boy. This elementary school student endured bullying and teasing from his classmates after he wore a handmade Tennessee t-shirt to school for college colors day, and his teacher, Laura Snyder, swiftly posted the story on Facebook in hopes of getting him an official shirt of his very own. Little did she know the social media community would bubble this touching story up to the top.

"This particular child came to me and told me that he wanted to wear a University of Tennessee shirt, but he didn't have one," she wrote in her post. "We discussed that he could wear an orange shirt to show his spirit. He told me every day leading up to it that he had an orange shirt that he was going to wear."

"So when the day finally arrived, he was SO EXCITED to show me his shirt," she continued. "Some girls at the lunch table next to his (who didn't even participate in college colors day) had made fun of his sign that he had attached to his shirt. He was DEVASTATED."

Laura requested Facebook's help in finding an "extra special" University of Tennessee shirt for her student. Her plea quickly went viral and reached the University, which offered to send a care package to the young boy and his classmates. Laura said he picked out a jersey and a hat, and helped pass out UT "swag" to the other kids. And the fun had just begun .

I’ve got to stop chopping onions in this dusty kitchen!

Nice move UT!

Touching story, which is what virtue signaling stories usually are.

I’m anti bullying. I was bullied unmercifully as a kid and got mixed signals from my parents about how to handle it. And when I finally whipped a bully’s ass I got suspended.

T-shirt’s and posters and ad campaigns won’t change or stop bullying. Getting the pansy ass administration off its ass to change the policies is the only thing that will help.

It’s always been a problem. And punishing kids that stand up for themselves only exacerbates the issue.

My daughter has just this year started to face off with other kids about stupid stuff. She is just trying to stay kind hearted without being left out. She is smart enough to out think them and talented enough to kick their ass when needed.

I despise a bully, got expelled a couple times going at them as a kid.
Thankfully I had years of wrestling and Judo by 7th grade.
Taught my sons to not tolerate anyone being bullied.

Yeah! He should have beat up those girls who laughed at his shirt! So what if it looked worse than a hobo's sign at an intersection...

Seriously, this kid is in for a rough life if this is his new expectation when girls laugh at him (probably deservingly)...

This isn't bullying. He just learned a life lesson. Then the snowflake teacher and the interweb virtue signalers snatched that lesson away from him...

Hopefully he won't shoot up the school after the meds he's sure to wind up on kick in...

There are no participation trophies in the real world...

Proceeds going to an anti bullying foundation. Just what in hell is an anti bullying foundation and what exactly are they thinking they can do about kids being kids.

Some are just meaner than others. Some softer than others. This crap has been going on since the beginning of kids.

The only thing that is coming out of this is some CEO of BulliesareBad.org is making money off this.

Bunch of BS. Kid is soft as hell. They were girls. That makes him a damn sissy. None of my kids got bullied nor bullied others. Even my girls would whip your ass after they choked you out. Pansy society.

I got my order through today, I don't know who or where the money is going. I hope the little boy who made his shirt gets to understand that more than 16,000 of us are behind him

This is our anti bullying campaign for our daughter.
Tonight was the first night of sparring and they were told no face 50% effort. Well the girl she was with grazed her face and she popped her square in the fore head at about 80%. Everyone in the room was like WOW then everyone started laughing after the instructor made sure the girl was ok.
