Crack’s still a thing? I thought meth was its replacement, cheaper & stronger.
Unless I missed something, this ne'er-do-well got pulled over for window tint, smelled of dope, was compliant, told the cop there was a gun, got searched and received 12+ years imprisonment for having a gun and a baggie of crack. I didn’t find anything about a violent past, and don’t want to pay for his imprisonment/training just to come out a really pissed off hardened criminal.
Our legal system is making things worse, not better.

You are free to go when you have served your debt to Society.
This individual could have turned his life around but did not as demonstrated by his criminal record,
only he knows what other crimes he committed but was never charged with, including but not limited to drug dealing.

The Court at sentencing concluded that STINES qualified as a career offender based on past state convictions, meriting an enhanced sentence.
STINES’ prior convictions include a 2016 conviction for possession with intent to sell cocaine,
2014 convictions for possessing a firearm as a felon and possessing with intent to sell cocaine and marijuana, and a
2011 conviction for misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon, all in Wake County District Court.

I am not a felon, but i see no reason why someone who went to prison and served his time should not have path back to getting his rights reestablished. That kind of attitude is unChristian, and it's unAmerican. I think it stems from Ego, i am better than you type mentality. Just because you do some dumb sh$% when you are 18 years old should not ruin your life and make you unable to defend yourself or your family forever. I think science is showing many men's frontal cortex is not even fully developed until they are 25. People do dumb stuff, people do learn and grow. I sure as hell am not the same person i was when i was 22. I did lots of stupid things, as i am sure all of us did, and we just ever got caught.

"Project Safe Neighborhoods". Yeah, that's a thing. You know who keeps neighborhoods safe or unsafe? The residents. Prove me wrong.

Fact. A MC down in the 'Ville bought a house in one of the darkest ghetto parts of town & turned it into their clubhouse. Neighbors love them, 'cos it put a stop to all the hood rat crime within a 6 block radius.
