The cops pulled them over for not having lights- on their bicycles- determines they’ve been partying, cuffs & arrests them. They decide there’s no better time than the present and get it on in the cops car. Handcuffed- check, locked in the back of a cops car- check, getting it on- check, BTW his name isn’t Chad.
The cop goes to pull them apart, he makes a run for it and she goes belligerent.
They’ve been charged with DUI, resisting officers, exposure of sexual organs, and engaging in lascivious acts. Thomas, who is being held without bond, faces similar charges, as well as escape and making threats against public officials counts.

What happened to the days when a cop says your being an idiot and are going to get hurt, loads bikes and reveled up to take them a couple miles home safely?
Don’t the ads claim a DWI will cost you $10K? At least they weren’t on a riding lawn mower or horse this time.

Truly a menace to all the law-abiding peoples of Florida. Hoist the red flags on them as well!

Protect(the state) and Serve(the courts interest).
Side note....years ago someone vandalized a cop car in my hometown.
'To protect and serve' now read 'to protect doughnuts and serve coffee'
Whoever did it was smart...they only painted that on the passenger side. It took the cops about four or five days to notice lol

I guess the officers forgot to hold up their badge close to their faces.
Making fun of another post.

Dang, I bought me a bike for the beach so i could still go on beer runs and not offend the kings men!! This messes up everything!!

Yep - I know of a lawyer who was off at some lawyer convention in Wilmington. He had drinks at a beach bar, then rode his bike back to the room. Got stopped and slapped with a DUI. And in his case, he knew up front that could happen.

That's friggin' ridiculous! Lose your: $10K, license, reputation & potentially your job for being tipsy on a bicycle?

That ain't nothing. I knew a guy who lost his license for DUI and hadn't had a drop to drink. Loaned his car to a guy he knew had been drinking and he got caught. Cost him for letting the guy drive his car knowing he was drinking.

Laws are to protect to public and not always the individual. Public roads ... walk down the side of one and if there is reasonable suspicion (say you stumble) you can be arrested for a minimum of public drunkenness. Sucks that many of today’s LEO’s do not understand it sometimes does more good to help than handcuff ... and learn it saves a crap load of time on paperwork.

Times have changed. I have a friend who got caught drunk one night and the police sargeant in our town locked his car and took him home.

I'm guessing this isn't the first time the cops have had to deal with these two.

It's stupid that you can get a DUI for riding a bike. It's just retarded.
My wife's grandfather turned in his license and sold his car as a plea in a DUI. He then got DUI'd riding his bike to the booze store. Do he got rid of his bike and got nailed for public intoxication.
