Just felt like I needed to post this. :D

  • Two Amish men were pulled over while riding in their hose-drawn buggy in North Bloomfield, Ohio on Sunday
  • The men were drinking alcohol and fled into nearby bush land after they were stopped by police
  • Officers discovered several open bottles of liquor in the buggy, and a 12-pack of beer on its top
  • The horse-drawn vehicle was also fitted out with a large stereo system

North Bloomfield must be a slow place for crime.
Cops don’t have anything else to do?
I grew up not too far from there. No, it's very low crime in general, especially in the small towns. Most cops have nothing better to do than fuzz traffic.

You know that's not the first time that's happened. Hope the judge has a sense of humor for those kids sake.

This might be a surprise to some but the Amish are not afraid of some liquor. Also not the first time I've see a stereo installed in a buggy. The best one I saw had a battery mounted inside the cab and a charger of sorts made to charge when the buggy was rolling so it basically worked like an alternator.

The Amish really do some wild stuff, mainly the young ones before they join the church. They're just really good at policing their own and not drawing attention to themselves. Overall they're wonderful people although a little odd.

Oh, and they like to go to livestock auctions where retired race horses are sold. They want fast horses to pull them around and yes, they race them.
