Anyone know if PHA is going to hold another Vintage 2-gun match this year?

Last info I saw said that the main PHA site would have the info going forward, but I've not seen or heard anything.

One report I saw sadly indicated it would not be a happening.... :(

in my Sept 5 email blast about range news...

The Vintage Match will not be held this year. The previous

Match Directors are not able to conduct this match.

out of curiosity, they no longer have the time to run it, or club politics?

If the match director is/was who I think, she's been MIA from the shooting sports for a while now. Sincerely awesome person that I hope is doing well.

Yeah that's a major part of why I liked it, I don't own any rifles that would be useful in a "modern" style 2-gun match. and I love historic firearms. have to look into what else is out there...

This. I initially planned to run it myself this year, but that just won't work out.

If the range is still suitable for the match next year, maybe then.

cool,

In the mean time, does anyone know of a two gun match in NC that is relatively friendly to / has divisions or similar for iron sight only rifles, ie "vintage light"? Currently the only centerfire rifles I own are a Garand and an A1 style AR, and I do not find it very much fun to be the only schmuck at a match who's not running optics.
