Now that I did the Basic Handgun Class, I need to move on to getting better accuracy and get a bit faster with my shooting.

I'm researching where I can get this next step done, and with whom.

A shooting class with the emphasis on the basics of shooting is what I need now. How to use the sights, how to hold the gun, how to stand, how to get my shots where I want them to go, proper trigger skills, controlling recoil, that stuff. I hope to be able to document all this as I go along and post about it here.

If I recall we started working our way from the feet up seeing how every little thing affected shot placement. I was always way low and left, he got me hitting the little circles, maybe the 1" diameter ones, with a P365 @ 5ish yards. Last class I had with him I was ringing steel @35yards with my P365. Think the steel was smaller than head size.

I'd def recommend some private lessons where you get some 1-1 attention as well since 12/20 is so far off.

Thanks, not sure how I missed that one! I did ask him to put me down for the Women's Beginner Class, also in December.....not sure I can do both, money and distance wise.... decisions, decisions....lol.
Thanks for the response. Sounds like an awesome class.

Please continue working with those circle targets I sent you, take your time, you will see tighter groups shortly.

Next range trip, I promise. Now that it's cooled off a teeny bit, I'll be shooting more. Also, I have my cousin's property across the road where I can shoot. I plan to make some stands and stick paper on them and them stick your circles on there and go for it! LoL.

My former trainer isn't doing those any more so I have to find someone else for that. Still looking.

I followed up with some private lessons to get to this point. I'd definitely recommend getting some 1 on 1 time

May I suggest a something a little more... tactical:

I've done some research on the guy who trained Keanu Reeves for those awesome movies!

I found a list of great shooters he's on. I don't know a lot of them, but I recognized a few names:

How can you pick a "odds-on favorite" from this posse?

This was from 2005, I think. Anyway, maybe I'll be doing Reeves-type stuff in about 20 years, right? LOL.

All Wick needs is a pencil.

@Millie , have you seen all 3 John Wick movies?

Only 2, waiting for 3 to get to HBO. How was it?

I streamed it, and we're watching it tonight. I'll give you my highly prized opinion mañana.

As long as he has the cool guns, I'll be happy. LoL. I'm a woman of simple tastes. Enjoy the movie!

I'm getting closer to finding a trainer. Maybe I'll have some news in a few days.

I recommend a tactical pen vs the pencil.

Mrs gave me a pen about 23 years ago. Stainless steel with an engraved pewter barrel and cap.

It goes everywhere with me. It just looks like an old tarnished pen. Gets through every checkpoint I’ve ever gone through with it. It can do tons of damage. Irreparable damage.

Well, here it is:

I talked to Larry Brown the other day, and he will be doing 2 days of training with me: Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. It will be a bit of a drive for me, as all my shooting-related stuff tends to be, and I'll have to stay in a hotel at least one night, but I'm very excited to get this training.

Does anyone else want to get in on this training?

Who is he and where is he located?

I have to get on the road in a few, but Google Brian Enos.com and there's a post about this group of guys. PHA in/near Salisbury is where I'll be headed. Got to find a cat sitter. Y'all have a good Sunday.

You know, that always annoyed me. Baba Yaga (Баба Яга) is a witch (or possibly three witches with one identity, depending on the folk tale). I mean, I get the point, but Baba Yaga was not a "boogeyman". Don't mind me; it's just one facet of my OCD. o_O
