My Uncle passed away Sunday night and he will be missed. Always had a smile on his face and never a complaint out of his mouth even when he was in pain.
My mom may need prayers soon as we drove together to Florida for today’s funeral. You all ever drive 9 hours in a car with your mom? We are also sharing a suite and she is a germaphobe and everything in the room is “dirty”. She had to Lysol the whole room. Please pray that I do not either kill her or myself before I get back to NC. I should have left my piece at home.
Side note: just a little joke, I am not going to kill her so don’t call police...

Ah, what we do for family. My condolences on your loss.

Prayers for the family.

Prayers!

I'm on your Mom's side, by the way. I'm definitely not a germophobe. But hotel rooms make me shudder. Everything in them is dirty. Dirtier than we mere mortals would even believe possible.

Sorry for your loss, and I'm praying for the whole family.

Prayers sent

Sorry to hear of the Uncle’s passing. Hope it was not difficult for your mom. I’m with your Mom on this one. Hotels give me the chills. I try not to sleep under the sheets unless I have extra brought to me. It’s the only place I always make sure I have cleanser wipes to clean door knobs, the remote, countertops, and the toilet seat. Same at a restaurant. After washing my hands I open the door with a paper towel.

I used to be a maid in a hotel and we were told to use the used towels to wipe down the shower wall and tub! Eeeeewwwww. I did use disinfectant wipes on some surfaces in my hotel room, over my 2 nights in Salisbury recently. At least I felt I could walk on the carpet in my socks, I've been in a room (long ago) where I didn't even want to walk on the carpet in my shoes! lol. I don't like hotels.

Ditto. I even put the remote in a ziplock bag after cleansing it.
