Yep, I've done multiple classes on this. Move your hands, move your arms, move your feet, start running your mouth, etc... if they'll let you move your torso, the fight is on...
It comes down to distance x perception x reaction time vs your technique.
If you want a good test, do this in a car. That's when your cardio and gorilla skills come in ! And/or a nice clinchpik/kerambit !!
But, good video ! It shows you how fast some of these techniques can go. Props to the shooter; he kept his trigger finger in the fight. I will not keep my finger in there for retention training stuff, I've seen way too many hurt really bad. The trigger and trigger guard become a lever on a really tender/fragile part of your body.
