Type 07 FFL.

Type 07 FFL – Manufacturer of Firearms & Ammunition
The Type 07 FFL is the most powerful and popular FFL to get. With it you can do everything a Type 01 FFL can (buy, sell and repair firearms) plus manufacture guns and ammo. When you add a Class 03 SOT to this license you can also make NFA items like silencers and even machine guns!

With the growing popularity of silencers, short barrel rifles and shotguns and other NFA items, many gun dealers choose a Type 07 license so they can serve all their customer’s needs. With the rising popularity of AR type sporting rifles, and the wide availability of parts, many Type 07 FFL holders are choosing to manufacture custom rifles for resale.

Get this FFL if you want the freedom to make and sell guns and ammo, and to add a Class 03 SOT to tap the lucrative NFA market. The Type 07 FFL costs $150 to apply and $150 to renew every 3 years.

$300 for the first three years, a lot cheaper then individual tax stamps.

That thing's a lead hose! Looks like a lot of fun.

Repeal? not gonna happen. OTOH if they ban EVERYTHING it doesn't really matter how illegal your gun is, does it :)

They have an extremely fast rate of fire. I was fortunate that I wasn’t having to pay for the ammo when I was shooting one.

@Combat Diver how does the private transfer of machine guns work with the license you’re talking about? The way I’ve read the NFA, any machine gun manufactured after May of 86 was non transferable to private citizens. I could have missed or forgotten something, been a long time since I’ve reviewed any material on FFLs.

You get the license and make it for yourself. No transfer outside LE/MIL. They are fun to play with for sure.

They're fun, have a really high cyclic, they climb fast or run the mag empty quick: but no real practical use unless you're on a shield and running it one-handed or really close .
But, like I said, they're really fun...

Does anyone else remember when the ATF website had a page about how It was illegal to alter a Glock to make it full auto, complete with a diagram of how to alter it “do not do this this and this”. Lmao.
