They need a detector for that.As my wife asked when this came on the talking box this morning: how would anyone know?

Unless we start a nationwide program of branding criminals on the forehead as part of their release from jail, we'll never really know who's who.
When "they" call me about this for their Poll...….I'm voting Oh Hell Yeah!!!Personally, I think anyone who sexually assaults a child should be hung. I also think that any murderers and rapist should be hung.
It’s not like there’s any reform going on in those rape pens anyway. Prison is just a sanitized way for people to feel good about abdicating their responsibility to actually deal with real criminals. They often let them out early.
^^^this^^^I gotta say that I always acted as if the fair workers were all aberrant in some way, having a few wandering sex offenders doesn’t really change the calculus fo me.
Becoming more and more of a misanthrope and isolationist.
We can hang them at the fair!If they are too dangerous to be at the fair, then they are too dangerous to be out of prison. Personally, I think anyone who sexually assaults a child should be hung. I also think that any murderers and rapist should be hung. Problem solved with them being at the fair then.
We can hang them at the fair!
Easy solution. Donate the proceeds to charity. No, because the fair is a 'not for profit' endeavor. Having that as a venue would definitely bring in some serious $.
If someone is SO BAD they need to be on a registered list, with all the associated restrictions, THEN WHY DO WE LET HIM/HER OUT OF PRISON? Even better, if those people are that bad, why don't we execute them?
The cognitive dissonance involved in such things as a registered sex offender list is staggering. We need to fish or cut bait. Either someone has paid his debt to society, or he hasn't. If he hasn't, he shouldn't be on the streets.
/rant off
The bigger problem I have with the registry is that there is NOTHING to indicate the nature of the crime, and if you look at the kind of things that can land someone on it, it's pretty frightening. The assumption that everyone on the registry is a child molestor or a rapist isn't accurate
One example I know of is a boy, 18, who was hanging out with his 17-year-old girlfriend the night before her 18th birthday. At around midnight, they took some nude pics of her. He ended up a sex offender, because the pics were timestamped a couple minutes before midnight.
Possession of child porn is a crime whether you are aware of it or not. So if a 14 year old sends you nude pics and tells the police you have them, guess what? If you don't have a damn good lawyer you're screwed.
Never happened, classic internet myth. Neil Boortz used to go on about a couple in GA that wound up on the list because they were having sex in their bedroom and the neighbor’s 4yo peeped into their window and complained to her parents about what she saw.A guy in Georgia wound up on it for peeing outside at a rest stop off the interstate that had no facilities. It was at night and he walked into the woods to do it. There was a sting operation going on that night trying to nab people having sex in the woods at the rest stop. He peed in view of one of the cops, who arrested him. In Georgia, that landed him on the registry.

Not picking on you really, I’m sure that you didn’t make this up, you know a guy that knows a guy that heard about is and so on and so forth. I believe that you believe it to be true, I just think you were told a fib.
I’m sure that more than a few members would be willing to help with the search! There's also the teacher who was arrested, tried, and convicted because she opened a link on the classroom computer and got hit with a porn storm. Once again not something I can "prove" because if you try to look it up - well, just imagine what you get with "teacher" and "porn" in the same search phrase. But I clearly recall following the story in the news, from several sources.
