WTH is going on with the HK Parts website? The site is live, so you can look at their inventory, but you can't make a purchase.

There is a banner stating that the website is down for maintenance, blah blah blah. But, when you call the phone number to place an order, you get a recording saying that the website is down and will be back up ASAP. I pushed all the extensions and it's impossible to speak to a human; it's just the same recording no matter which department you try to contact.

Y'all, the site has been down for over 2 weeks!

I don't know of any company that can go 2 plus weeks without accepting a single order and still stay in business.

What do y'all think?

I just looked online. In 2017, the owner was sentenced to 4 years in prison for selling firearms without an FFL and for tax evasion.

Looks like the dude has already been put away for 2 years with 2 more to go.

That shouldn't affect the website over the last 2 weeks.

No it did not affect the site, it's been up and running for a while after he was sent away. I was actually able to talk to him a couple years ago just before he started his sentence and purchased most of my G28 parts. I've bought some stuff from them since then, but nothing since I've seen the site down the past couple of weeks. I can't recall the exact date of my last purchase from them, but it's likely 6-12 months ago.

"We do not have a solid ETA right now. We are undergoing some maintenance on our website currently that is taking a bit longer than we anticipated it would."

They said they can still process and handle orders

I know I ordered some parts about 8 months ago, so it has been up and running.

I'm just frustrated because I got two USP Match Trigger kits, but i need the HK Trigger Spring tool to do the install, and I can't find it available anywhere but HKParts. Until I get those needle nose pliers I'm screwed.

@Grim , you got an old pair of HK trigger spring pliers laying around? I'll buy them off you. If not, I'm going to create a new ad in WTB section.

I don't and you don't really need the tool, just some patience and a set of needle nosed pliers worked for me. You will make several attempts before finally getting this lined up with the bar. A spare set of hands works too.

I just ordered mp5 parts from them recently so it's only been down for a week or so. There's a thread over on hkpro.com where they seem to imply that their user database was compromised by hackers as many people chimed in that they ordered from them recently and now there's fraud on all of their credit cards. So far that isn't the case for me.

Oh snap! I bet that's it... They are going to take their sweet time telling their customers that all their info was hacked...

Just to update, hkparts.net responded multiple times to the hkpro.com thread about hackers and they said it's not the case, they're just working on upgrading the site and they're running into problems. Their official stance is no bad stuff going on.

Thanks for the update bud!

The website is still down. But I was able to send an email to their sales department.

I was told that they cannot accept credit cards, but they can accept PayPal, money orders, or a check mailed in.

I was able to order via email and pay via PayPal.

So I have some pens of theirs - HKparts.com
But when you type that in it automatically redirects to HKparts.NET. The site looks different, but the logo up top is, pretty much, the same.
Is it the same company?

Too bad he wasn’t in the DOJ...

Then, he could’ve supplied firearms to foreign drug cartels and walked scot-free.

Yeah, them saying the outage was caused by a new website design gone bad turned out to be true. Looks like they finally got the beta site working.
