So my fiancee is new to shooting and besides today it's been about a year since I've been. She bought a S&W shield EZ as her EDC once we get her conceal carry taken care of. She was talking about wanting a 22 to practice with, seeing how it's a lot cheaper to shoot. We've looked at the Taurus, P22 and a M9 22. I completely overlooked the SR22. Today on her lunch she went by a gun shop and took a look at the SR22, we were looking around online at them and she fell in love with this on. I have to admit, I'm really liking the finish on it as well. So as we were eating dinner, she's said "let's get this one". So now it's just a waiting game. Hopefully it looks just as good in person as it does in the picture.

Going to look good on her. I got one when they first came out, fun to shoot.

My SR22 has run many, many rounds without the first issue. They are fine 22 pistols. She chose wisely.

I learned don’t buy a firearm for my wife early on ... she found what she liked by shooting anything she had a chance to ... she actually took one of my winter concealed carry handguns (Sig P239 in 9mm) and has little interest in almost anything else. She also likes an M1 Carbine over an AR ... she says it just more compact and for some reason the stock feels better in her hands. I don’t ask I just speak husbandese ... “Yes Dear”, “Whatever you want Dear”, etc.

Nothing wrong with the M1 carbine; you’ve got a good woman there !

I heard that they shut down production in Mayodan... their warehouses are full, and sales are sluggish, so they laid off everyone. Can anyone confirm that?
