Hate the fact that they will stop selling certain ammo. Went there Friday night to pick up 100 9, 100 223, 100 7.62x51 and 25 7.62x54R. All in one place at one time and at the lowest cost offline with no shipping . Once they get out it will be a task prepping the next range session because you never know who has what when. Right now Midway is out of cheap 7.62x51 and 7.62x54R for example. GRRRRRR!!!

Where in NC are you? If close the high point use outdoor limited. Won’t find to many places with better pricing and no shipping charges if you pick up. Not close by? Use a mule to pick up and deliver. Lots of us travel around the state and would make a run.

Walmart can lick my fart box and gargle with dog urine afterward. I haven't darkened their door since they pulled this horseshit and I refuse to spend 1 dime toward Sam's kids rediculous income anymore.

Here's a novel idea: patronize one of your local gun stores, Academy, Cabelas or if you need 9mm message @Butter . From what I've seen his ammo is much better than the lowest bidder white-box or UMC crap that Walmart sells for more than internet pricing.

This ^^^^^^^^**

I used to buy 99% of my ammo from Wally World but they haven’t been overly competitive for a long time now, granted as the OP said, being able to swing into a big box store and grab all the ammo you’d need for a range session was extremely convenient.

These days it is nearly always cheaper to purchase ammo from an online retailer like SGammo.com, ammotogo.com & Outdoor Limited, it’s even better when you can swing in and pick it up to save shipping and hazmat fees.

Outdoor limited basically took over all of my ammo buying as well. I also used to buy a bunch of ammo from Walmart. Would grab at least a few boxes every time I went. But now I just save up a few months and put in a $100-200 order to Outdoor limited. I haven’t been in a bit and now they have a retail store on site.

If you are under 65 years old and plan on shooting for more than a year or two you should start rolling your own. The components have a very long shelf life and if you buy in bulk you can either use them up quick or they will last you a very long time. Do you think ammo is going to be easier to get and the price will go down over the next 10 to 15 years?

OK, I'll ask. What happens to reloading when one turns 65?

Nothing bad haha! It's just that the younger you start the more money you will save. If you start at 65 you probably won't get 30 years of reloading savings I like I have:D

(And I don't care if you are courteous to the fallen!!!)

Anyone have suggestions for Franklin county? I haven't bought from walmart for years, but the best options I know are Cabela's and Perry's in Wendell. Our local Ace sells some ammo but it's rather pricey.

Did you not see my previous post about the sensitivity of primers and people? I am offended that you are offended... I think ?

Sorry, pard, we're stuck out here in the tules. ;) I use Perry's because I like them and I'm in there all the time. Once they get to know you, they'll help you out with deals -- if you're not a "Richard" while you're there, that is.! :)

I did not, and still don't. I apparently don't have enough time left to look for comments you made elsewhere. Now get off my lawn!

I will have to look into that, thx.

I'm convinced Walmart isn't going to stop selling it. I think they were virtue signalling for the attention and their "last" order of ammo is never going to run out.

Nope and in fact, as the dems come into power, their strategy will be to tax us out of the market.

Just watched them discount a huge chunk of their ammo at the S High Point store. Nothing crazy, 10-15%. Saw a guy foaming at the mouth watching her do it, then started grabbing. All the bulk 22 and 223....think he got 800 of 223 for $227, not the greatest deal, but hey....

Just went in Academy, and bought 150rds of Browning branded winchester 124gr brass for $26.74 cash. Eff Walmart, their anti-gun stance, and their ammo prices. I'll never darken the door again.

Just left my local Walmart. All handgun ammo and some rifle on clearance. Nothing spectacular.

^^^^^ above images...like most wm's need damn binoculars to even see what they have......

The only thing that got my attention was WWB 9mm NATO at just under 18 cents per round, out the door. I haven’t seen it that low in almost two years.

My local store still had plenty, even after I left. ;)

My walmart has federal brass 9mm for 33.85 per 200 comes to $36ish out the door. Convenient when i just need to grab some range ammo, and still in stock last time i went. No Academy around by me unfortunately.

The only problem with buying ammo at WM is...

you may need a dozen or so extra rounds to get safely back to the car.

I had to go to Walmart late last night to get a toothbrush for my granddaughter and the Federal 200 Brass was $30.00 and there were more than twenty boxes.

With Outdoorlimited.com right here local, Walmart can pound imported sand.

They offer shipping free over $25 if you can afford to spend that much on ammo that doesnt pay into funding an Anti gun CEOs golden parachute and Bloomberg agenda

I paid $53.50 for 300rds of Winchester made Browning
