Welcome! From South Jersey myself.

The others aren’t kidding, this is an awesome forum and some really nice good people.

Welcome to CFF.
What's your thoughts on meringue?
Great to see that you live only about an hour away down in Calabash also know as the "seafood capital of the world."

We have a long running back and forth joke going on with members here about banana pudding being better with either meringue or whipped crème. For the record I'm on the meringue side of the issue...…….hahaha.

As time goes on you'll see some threads where members will "poke the bear" about the meringue vs whipped crème sides and you may be asked again where you stand on the issue.

The correct answer could only be...……...meringue.
You'll fit right in here my friend...………..loving the fat back just pushed you way up the ladder on here ! Now all you have to do is partake of those awesome banana puddings that show up at your church dinners and choose the meringue options as the very best topping. That will take you the rest of the way up the ladder. @Geezer and some others on here will comment further.
Grits. Dukes Mayonnaise. Livermush.

If you like all three you'll be at the top of the ladder.

You think the fights over banana pudding are tame, watch these folks fight over mayonnaise.

Now. I've been part of this ragtag group since the start of the forum back when it was CFS. Then the crack smoking Canadians. Now this one.

Spend some time looking at the different sub sections. We talk about a bunch of different crap. The knowledge these people posses is beyond amazing. You have a problem with your car, house or what ever. Chances are someone has knowledge about it. There is even a pony express if you don't mind waiting a little while for something to be dropped off.

These people care more than you would believe. And humble. People pay it forward. I've not met one percent of these folks in person but consider these folks as family.

I'm glad you're here and ........

Livermush is a regional food mostly in Western NC. It is mostly cornmeal, spices and lastly pork liver. Poor southern folk used the corn meal to stretch the liver meat. The only thing out of a pig that wasn't used was the squeal.

The key to livermush is fry it to.a.lite.crisp on the outside. Fry some eggs to go with it . Take the easy over eggs and mix the livermush up in with the eggs. Grab some bread. Biscuits or even regular loaf bread. Lastly get yerself a big glass of cold milk. Enjoy.

Damn. Just made myself hungry. Time to go.get breakfast.

Miracle Whip

Below the Mason-Dixon line ? Only one brand has won the favor and withstood all of the competition. And a quart jar simply will not be adequate to ease the palates of the Brangus clan.
