State Champs!

I had to extend my annual MI Thanksgiving trip a day to go see my alma mater win a State Championship yesterday! They played at Ford Field (Detroit Lions stadium) with all the video and PA stuff they do for the pros. Great experience and just a ton of fun.

Got to catch up with a bunch of old farts that claimed I graduated high school with them 30 years ago.

My cousin's kid -#2, Zach - is the QB (11-23, 1 Int, 2TD passing, 2 rushing) and Safety ( 2 Int). After a rough 1st half trying to figure out a terrific D-line opposition, they came back from a 17-7 decifict late in the 3rd to pull off a thrilling 31-17 win.

just a ton of fun with old friends and family. The victory and an exciting game were icing on the cake.

Congrats! I have kids of friends that go there, and they say it had been 34 years! Glad you were there to see the breakthrough!

I arrived the following year, we, umm, didn't do as good!

Kind of ironic thing, the QB's father (my 1st cousin) was on that 1985 State Champion team.
