It pays to shop at Goodwill

Bullcrap. There's no way that rifle would fit in that box.

But Monday, Schneider said officers picked it up to try to figure out who the original owner was. With the serial number on the rifle, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives can trace the firearm to determine where it was manufactured, where it was sold or purchased and who may have registered it.

If no owner is found for the rifle, Schneider said Rosas and her husband may keep the weapon if they follow state laws to register it.

What is this "registration"?

Found a pair of nice ostrich boots in one size larger than I wear. Thought if they didn’t fit I would give them to my son who was the same size. Also a belt and a yard game. Got home and there was a vhs cassette in one boot. Loaded it and watched some guy and his woman in multiple times of freaky nights. Poor girl was bent into all kinds of shapes.

I go to goodwill fairly often and the only things I find are ok jeans and the occasional jacket. My best find was a heavy spyder kind of knit jacket. If you find a Columbia jacket with a broken zipper buy that thing and send it back to them. They will give you msrp of the jacket on a gift card.

"..as Reported to CNN..."
That tells me all I need to know.

Ill take crap that didnt happen for $1,000 Alex.

I worked at goodwill when I was in college in the 90s..mainly worked the donation door and unloaded trucks from donation sites..I can tell you with authority a lot of people donate trash. Literally. I would say 60% of the stuff I unloaded or took in wasnt broken, missing pieces, etc. The rest went straight to the dumpster. Id open a bag, and household garbage would come out. People would try to donate half used cans of paint. Dead batteries, you name it. Not once did I ever see a gem let alone a firearm.

I did unload a deactivated pineapple grenade from a tote once though, but couldnt keep it.

My girlfreinds cousin lives in Maryland in an affluent part of the state. He owns an antique shop, and alwys runs through the goodwill. Found a painting in there once.....took a pic and sent it to his art dealer friend. Friend said buy it NOW and be careful with it. He had a 25% off coupon, but didnt use it for this painting at $25.00. It was a Motherwell, worth 7900.00 dollars...

The headline says live, the picture says suspected. I bet the odds are pretty good it comes out as a dummy.
They won't print it if if's a dummy, but they will run a special edition if it's live.
