will certainly be posting some questions for you folks and also look forward to contributing to yours.

my wife thinks i”m a “gun nut”, my FFL things I’m “marginally above background noise”. Either way, 30 years old with an equal number of guns (try to maintain at least 1 for each year of life).

I failed miserably at that a good while back. :)

Mmmm. understood. For me, making up or those first 20 years of failed acquisitions was a [monetary] challenge. Also spending over $400 my first day here to REPLACE all of the ban-state magazines with otherwise complementary mags as intended by the fine engineers whom designed them at any given manufacturer :-/

Thinking about picking up a Maxim Defense PDX. Seems like the most gratuitous overcompensation I can find that would make me a mega felon in the land I came from, hehe.

ETA: Anyone know of any local gunsmiths/machinists or the like who can make me a bayonet lug for the MD PDX, in the event I do acquire one? Also might need a polymer specialist to design me a 'shoulder thingy that goes up' for it if their proprietary stock...I mean stabilizing fin...doesnt have a workaround with existing commercial products. I want it to violate every single major AWB item on the list of scary things from the liberal sinkhole that is the northeast.

Welcome aboard and how did you find this crew?

Have not belonged to a gun forum in a while. With so many aspects of my life going from static to dynamic at once, figured I could use a community of good folks to rely on when I don't have hours to power through the nuance (ranges, hunting, laws, clubs, insight from locals as we settle in and begin looking for a home etc).

Thanks for the warm welcomes all,

-Sig
