Kids and new words

Last night we were watching a crime drama. The judge said "We will break for a short recess." My son had a look of confusion on his face and it took @Chdamn's Wife and I a few seconds to figure out why. He couldn't understand why a group of adults would stop such a serious situation to go outside and play kick ball.

After laughing ourselves to tears at the image, we explained it to him. When we finally went to bed last night we got the giggles all over again at the thought of the characters all running outside for recess.

Everybody has ADD...

The young man is onto something.

Absolutely! Make Recess Regular Again!

When I was in my 20's working carpentry, a co-worker once said, "It ain't lunch for you, it's recess!" I regret I've lost that attitude and now simple eat lunch while sitting down.


Oh - and while we're at it, NAPS!!!

I for one, fully support the bringing back of nap time. I hated nap time in kindergarten, but I'd love to have it now.

At my age, I've gotten to the point where I write these things down for fear of forgetting them.

MY youngest grandson's teacher asked each student give an answer as to "why " they come to school?
His answer: "So my parents don't get arrested".
