There can be only one...Greta Thunberg

I have heard that Time and Newsweek both are in financial trouble. I do not know for sure though.

In 2017, Stephen Willeford stopped the Sutherland Springs, Texas church shooting by running barefoot into the battle, with an AR-15 that he was loading as he ran, engaged the shooter, stopped the shooting, then chased the shooter in his car... Did he make the list?

Anyone who does not think the climate is changing and generally getting warmer has just not looked around at the vivid evidence that the glaciers are no longer as big as they once were. This whole valley was once filled with a moving river of ice that carved out the smooth sides like a large ice cream scoop. Yes, the climate is changing. One of the main problems with what that little girl is spewing is that those glaciers started getting smaller around 15,000 years ago, long before we humans had internal combustion engines or coal-fired steam plants for electricity. Ice cores from the Antarctic indicate that the climate has been having drastic shifts for a very long time and that some of those shifts were quite sudden and more catastrophic than anything the tree huggers could possibly imagine. I have no doubt that climate has changed and will continue to change. I do have doubts about the importance of the human contribution to those changes. There has been a lot of very poor and very shameful "science" related to this topic, and the politics of power and control seems to have taken over and has shoved legitimate science out the door. That little girl and her handlers can go sit on very venomous snakes.File1133.jpg

@Charlie is right on this. Ten thousand years ago--geologically, that's like yesterday--there was a sheet of ice over what is now Chicago two miles thick. Five thousand years later, it was gone. People didn't cause that ice to pile up, and people didn't cause it to melt. There is a natural variability that is far greater than anything people could cause, even if they tried.

She has her short interval of fame. Perhaps she will get into politics and end up as Secretary-General of the UN.

Please.... please! Tell me this is a fake

Jesus Christ...

Not yet, but bless her heart she's trying. Every religion needs a face I guess. And Al Gore is AWOL.

What the climate alarmists don't realize is that if they are right (and I'm not convinced they are), the solution to their problem would be capitalism and economic success. If there is a climate catastrophe it would be driven deeper by the policies of climate alarmists. Their plans need lots of money. Wealthy countries always begin treating their environment better. But Gov does not generate wealth. But it can certainly squash wealth. And poorer countries pollute more. Relying on the Gov to save the environment would be the best way to ensure it's destruction.

Pity it melted.

I think that if you study the history of water quality in the great lakes you’ll identify a critical flaw in your reasoning.

I haven't met anyone, in person or online, who thought the climate wasn't changing. Simply looking at recent history shows you that: we were in the middle of the Little Ice Age ~150 years ago. Of course it has warmed since then, thankfully! The problem is - that is the whole history they're looking at: the LIA ended about the same time as the Industrial Revolution started, so obviously it's human activity causing the "problem".

And what problem is that? 2 degrees warming (F) over 100 years. To a point where we still aren't as warm as the Holocene Optimum or the Medieval Warm Period (when they grew grapes in England and Greenland was actually green). Has anyone seen the news articles about villages being discovered under the melting ice? I guess they chipped caves in the ice to build those?

Oh, and they say that "it's not the total rise, it's the rate of increase" - but completely ignore that our recent measurements are much closer together than previous. Measure the temperature at noon every day, then measure it every 30 minutes starting at 2am one day, see what happens.

Would that work better with or without tanned taint?
If they were very recently tanned they might be a bit warmer. That would give the pit vipers more distinct targets. Sunburn would be even better.

I did see a college coed sit on a snake one time. She came into the living room of the frat lodge, sat down on a sofa between two brother, and started beating one of them around the head and neck with her hand screaming at him to get his hand from underneath her bottom. She thought he had put his hand on the cushion as she was sitting down to cop a feel of her quite lovely posterior. He showed her both of his hands to prove it was not he who was playing with her cheeks. She abandoned the sofa very quickly and saw that the cushion was wiggling. It turned out that one of the brothers had lost his big Indigo snake (nonvenomous) somewhere in the house. It had found its way to between the cushion and cover of the sofa cushion, and the coed had sat down on it. The coed was not amused but was physically unharmed.
