as I finish different bottles of whiskey, I hate to just recycle the glass bottles, since some of them have cool features in the glass or are interesting shapes.
Does anybody want these for anything, or have any ideas I should save them for?
I don’t really want to get into the glass cutting process. I have looked up different methods online, and that’s just not an additional hobby I need to get involved in. ;)
Maybe I’m answering my own question and I should just recycle them rather than spending time on it. :p

I’ve never done it but I’ve seen people use the ones with neat shapes as decorations. Nicknacks

pull off the labels and then fill them with sand, beads, beans or colored water.

Soak 'em. Scrub off the old labels with a brillo pad. Fill 'em back up with your homemade 'shine aged in once used charred white oak barrels, and give them away as Christmas presents to the deserving.

Good idea. I think I was probably deserving this year.

Put the empties on a stump and target practice.

If you know someone with a pottery kiln, you can melt bottles down into cool stuff

My ex girlfriend’s dad had one in his house (rich dude) and he would make like glass serving spoon holders out of beer bottles. Put one on its side in the kiln (probably on a non stick tray of some kind...a kiln operator should know) and he’d fire it up. It would come out flat and melted out, the perfect size to put by a stove to hold a stirring spoon. A whiskey bottle being much larger you could do something cooler with I bet

Just fill them with ice tea, and load up your fridge. Then guzzle them while you’re driving around in your car. Lol

Probably make a cooler looking display & storage option than the kombucha bottles I use.
